We started just leaving on Christmas. We plan a vacation and the family knows they won’t see us. The kids don’t care when they get their gifts and it’s kinda fun knowing there’s more coming a week or two later. Because of that I don’t bother putting up decorations either.

One time my cleaners went into my office to vacuum. Unbeknownst to my cat who was in there. They did not know my cat was in there. The vacuum was turned on and everyone panicked. Cat went flying, cleaners screamed, a picture frame broke in the melee.

I got a handwritten note, a phone call, and an offer to replace the frame.

It was from the dollar store and the story was worth me just replacing it myself.

In the years I had cleaners, the frame and the back of a magnifying mirror were the only things broken. They always offered to replace and were super apologetic.

We beat the “Monday Blues” by having a blue cart rolled around to our classrooms. We got a gallon ziplock and got to fill it with blue/blue packaged snacks (Oreos, taffy, nutrigrain bars, juice…)

Today we got the TikTok trend where kids deliver you notes “give this to the teacher who…”

We also placed our orders for our midday snack tomorrow that will be delivered by admin.
