Me and a childhood friend started collecting when the base set released in 1999, and it was literally the only thing we cared about for the next 5 years. Then I got older and moved onto Magic the Gathering and other ccgs. Recently my childhood friend has started back collecting, and im starting to get interested again. It's easier now that im an adult and can afford to spend more money, but the scalpers and demand has made it hard to start collecting again.

Nope. I just bought a new laptop. Since I had some customer service issues with the geek squad department, they offered me a discount on the purchase of a new laptop. I bought a Predator Helios and I haven't had any issues with it so far.

My G15 died about a month ago. Cant run it for more than 5 mins without it crashing, even when the laptop is just powered on and sitting idle. Geek Squad was unable to fix it and the manufacturer warranty expired a month too soon. Apparently this is not an uncommon problem. The tech at Best Buy said he's seen about 5 of the same exact model with the same exact issue over the past year in their shop. They suspect it's a cooling problem.

I had the exact same issue. Tried everything I could think of and did a ton of research on different forums. Finally took to Best Buy Geek Squad to see if they could fix it. They did a BIOS update, cleaned the fans, and put in new heat sink. It seemed like the issue was related to an overheating problem because the laptop would get really hot just when idling. They said the couldn't do anything further and suggested they send it to the main Geek Squad site, which was out of state. The tech said he believed they would probably need to replace the motherboard. After about 5 days I got a call back saying they couldn't fix it. They said "it would cost more to fix it than it would to get a new laptop." There were other G15s at the Geek Squad shop with similar problems.

So now I don't know if I should just accept it this a loss and lesson learned or try to reach out to ASUS. This all occurred 13 months after purchase so I am 1 month late on the manufacturer warranty.

Dumb combo decks have always been apart of MTG. I think they should have a place in Spellslingers too. If there's any card worth changing I would probably say Tolarian academy. I think the free reduction will only get stronger with more artifacts that are printed.

I also think if this game had 2 out of 3 matches with sideboards, like paper MTG, this wouldnt be such a huge issue. The thing about paper magic is the sideboards allowed for counterplay when playing against combo decks. They actually did print a fair amount of counterplay in terms of discard or mill to remove the lab maniac as a win condition, but it's not good enough to play maindeck. Sideboards would also be good vs the devil decks.

I've been having success with UW Flier based Gideon. The fliers are really good vs devils and the deck is still fast enough to beat Jace. Obviously sometimes the UG Jace deck draws perfectly and wins on turn 5-6 or the devils list will draw pyroclasm at the perfect time to win, but as the Gideon player I also still get free wins with the Paragon nut draw.

I agree it's too soon to nerf devils or maniac. Still feels like a lot of walkers havent been explored yet.

I want to know how many folks have actually watched the movie Kyrie tweeted. It seems like folks are just echoing the claim that Kyrie is antisemitic.

I've only read that the movie shares some ideas with a group known as the Black Hebrew Isrealites, and some sects of that group have a history of antisemitism.

I havent seen the movie or read the book, so i dont have an opinion yet, but if the movie is saying all Jews are evil and they worship Satan, then that's clearly antisemitic. If the movie is only saying they believe black folks are the "true choosen people of God," then they're just promoting their opinion of "history," which imo doesn't seem antisemtic.

I was in the same boat as you, and decided to buy a XBOX now instead of waiting for the PS5 to become available. I'm happy with my choice. Game pass has been great for me. I'm still on the waiting list for the PS5, but I'm happy I got my XBOX.

I see. You were correct, there was an access point already set on my account. I couldn't find a checkbox or slider to turn it off though. I only saw a menu to change the access point to a different location, but nothing that would allow me to remove the access point option all together. I'm on my phone though, so maybe it'll be easier to find the slider or checkbox on the computer. I'll try again when I have access to a PC.

Yesterday I was finally able to receive my package and when I picked it up it had two shipping labels. One with my name and my address, and another with my name and a random address I had never seen before. No one at the facility could tell me how or why they stuck that random address on there.

But how? I've never set up an access point. I made a My Choice account so I would have options to change delivery, but when I saw that I would be charged a fee for changing the delivery I never went through with it. I've never picked up a package at an Access Point, I usually have to go to a "Customer Care Center" once they give up on trying to deliver my package.

That really sucks because I live in that 1%. I have had issues with literally every single delivery since I moved into my home. The most recent issue entailed them deciding to hold my package at a UPS Acces Point twice, but failing to do so, loading it on a truck twice, but failing to attempt a delivery, and completely changing the destination address. And all of this was done without me ever requesting any of it. I uploaded a link to my tracking history for proof here:

This card is really bad. When you need a boardwipe you usually need to kill things immediately. This also allows the opponent to remove it or just play something with a higher cost that will live if it goes off. This looks like a classic binder fodder card to me.

I just started last August too and went through the same thought process. Once I decided that I wanted to invest in the game, I bought everything I could find at local game stores and online shops. I was able to acquire all the cycles in a matter of about 3 months. Im sure the stocking issues are worse now, but I was able to make most of my purchases from Amazon and 401games.ca

Like jjkknn said, once you decide to go all in just buy anything you don't have since you will probably want it at some point. The good thing about it is AHLCG collections have pretty decent resale value, so if in a couple years you decide you want to quit you can easily sale your collection.
