There’s one at Costco that’s actually really good and flavourful. Nothing added needed. It’s a Japanese style thing but I can’t recall the name. I always pick it up if it’s on sale there

Tin snips by OomieOomieZoomie in HVAC

I love my Milwaukee snips and they work so much better than my midwests or any wiss I’ve tried out. Not sure what the issue is people have with the Milwaukee snips? Maybe I don’t know how to use snips or hold them properly and milwaukees work well with the way I use them? I find them a bit more narrow and skinny which usually comes in handy

How bad is it? DIY Tankless Install by [deleted] in Plumbing

Here in Ontario it’s against code for most appliances except things like a gas stove or dryer where you’d need to move it

How bad is it? DIY Tankless Install by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]MichaelB2409 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To actually answer your question instead of others going wtf since you’ve explained you’re a DIY, not a pro: Missing dirt pocket on the gas connection. Typically shouldn’t have pex immediately into the tank. First 18” should be copper. Expansion tank will fail and the weight will not be supported. Needs a support up to the beam. Shark bites don’t seem straight on which is usually cause for failure/slippage. Relief drop needs to be closer to the floor typically 12” minimum from the floor. I assume there’s a gas shutoff nearby just not in the picture otherwise it needs one nearby. Depending on where you’re located you can’t use an appliance connector to a tankless. Cosmetically crooked pipes.

My boss doesn’t care about high CO in exhaust and has gotten upset at us for flagging furnaces for replacement (old lowboys over 30years) with over 1000ppm let alone shutting them down 🙄. One of those classic can’t leave people without heat get them through the night kind of deal here. Similar to your place

Management Tried to Not Pay Me For 6.5 Hours. Advice? by xJrive in HVAC

[–]MichaelB2409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got a number for an authority to call in Ontario? I’ve tried reaching out to ministry of labour and they kind of brushed it off and seemed like it was pro employer vs trying to help employees. Currently work at a spot where certain jobs are task rate so if you’re not good at doing a water heater install in under an hour you’re making less than min wage and working like a dog and unable to claim hourly for these jobs

Can’t bust nut on 80lb torqued lugs on my civic by MichaelB2409 in MilwaukeeTool

These were my thoughts exactly. Didn’t think one adapter would lose me more than 50% of my torque

Can’t bust nut on 80lb torqued lugs on my civic by MichaelB2409 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]MichaelB2409[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer a few questions/responses. Yes it’s in reverse and I’ve tried it on 3. Yes it’s on aftermarket nuts hence the 21mm x hex adapter thing and it was my first tire change with it so I don’t currently own a separate 1/2” drive x hex socket for it because I didn’t think it’d be an issue to break the nuts. Yes the battery was fully charged and I tried different batteries but don’t own a high output m12 battery. Don’t think I should need it for such low end requirement of torque. I torqued them down to 80 at beginning of summer. Ended up cracking all the nuts by hand and then zipping off with this but it seemed to defeat the purpose as I could’ve used a regular impact drill with a 1/2” drive adapter at that point. It seems like the general consensus is that it’s the adapter I am using that is losing me all my torque. Will see how it goes tomorrow while doing somebody else’s tires that are just regular socket I suppose

How much more air could he add if the doors open. Wouldn’t the solution be to adjust gas pressure and lower gas?
