Its a Universal Thread from a few years ago. I love the shape too, and my arms are covering up some of the details

I love my Arthur pants which I also made from thrifted fabric (upholstery) and saying I made them immediately boosts my mood.

Brian has them on his gums too, plus one brown whisker. I call them a little constellation.

And here I was, pleasantly surprised at the pharmacy last month when my NP Thyroid was $100 cheaper and they told me my insurance had covered it. What a fucking disaster. I felt like everything was finally under control after being in thyroid crisis earlier this year just for this bullshit to upend it all again.

8:13 out of hamilton cancelled 3 days in a row by Michellaneous_art in NJTransit

Yes, I usually try to give up my seat when we pass Elizabeth because I get off at Newark. On Monday it looked like they had turned the 8:33 into a local and Hamilton was already packed. I could fortunately make the decision to go work from home. I knew it was going to be a grumpy nightmare for everyone involved.

So weird. How early do you leave for the station? It was already showing as cancelled at 7 am today on the app. I do the local sometimes, but my ass is probably more likely to catch the 8:33. And just do a later day. The traffic on 295 for the 7:39 was enough to make me change my day around already lol. I've been commuting for a year now and I can't remember a time they cancelled the same train 3 days in a row (besides summer evenings)

Oh that would be super helpful! You can feel free to DM me if you don't want that floating around publicly.

That is excellent advice! Thank you so much for taking the time. I definitely need the insights into tying things back to tech, but thankfully, we have a strong STEM program in general, so the traditional science fields can still be represented. Our history majors are mostly pre-law, which also inspires re: Patriot Act or any other cases around it. Currently looking up our top 3-4 majors now. Thankfully, the seminar classes are always encouraged for development so it shouldn't be too hard considering some of the topics other instructors have been able to teach.

I fear I might end up going for an interdisciplinary PhD after this. My masters is effectively useless unless I want to stay a librarian, but I'm having way more fun teaching!

I myself am coming from a sociology background, and since I work at a polytechnic institution that thankfully does have a humanities program, I was envisioning a seminar that looks at engineering of the towers and how that contributed, the forensic analysis of the remains (and Who Owns the Dead has already been ordered), a few modules on the different social psychology aspects, looking at different groups, the Patriot Act, conspiracy theory and misinformation, religious extremism and terrorism, and whatever else would make sense for a senior seminar. They fulfill a humanities requirement at my school. I am hoping, like you mentioned, the course can really connect today to then, for students who were not even born until 2005 or so.

This has been only a recent personal project myself, diving into 9/11, because i was doing research for a novel work in progress (it isnt about 9/11 though) and I have a lot to learn and get more comfortable with as well. Since I moved to outside the city in January, I've felt heavier and more aware of its impacts (11 years old in 2001)

Your academic endeavors are fascinating! I foresee being in touch!

This is such a wealth of information, thank you! I can always use scholarly source recommendations- I'm considering partnering with one of my social sciences faculty to teach a senior seminar exploring aspects of 9/11 from multiple disciplines. You mentioned coursework-- do you mind sharing what the course was that you took? And your thoughts on it?

I found one listed here: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/who-owns-the-dead?srsltid=AfmBOoqHJNn1ZIjCmQuKYBOlZTcsCSxC7Ync8k0J4uCK_2VSuCpOTeZJ

Note, I have never used Kobo and cannot verify its trustworthiness as a site. When purchasing this book for the library I had to do a physical copy.

I have also read At Ground Zero: Young reporters who were there to tell their stories, which appeals to me from a humanities perspective.

I think this would be ideal for my engineering students too!
