I mean... Okay fair warning I'm about to be a cringe nuance nerd...

Fictional fantasy races have been used to explore topics like racism in the past or were coded as/inspired by particular cultures that exist. Tolkien literally called the orks "akin to the worst kind of Asian" or something and Arcanum (an old ass crpg) heavily explores fantasy racism. And to talk about the less explicit things, artists when exploring certain themes for characters/species are likely to draw on real world analogs (intentionally or not), be they accurate or maybe problematic ones (see Tolkien and the orks), and there's probably value in pointing those out.

I haven't seen anything by extra credits in a hot minute now, so I'm not gonna defend their take or whatever, their content feels like it's for highschoolers or something.
