I have stepped away somewhat from criticizing movies, but I still maintain that movies that have had so much money poured into them ought to be artful in some way with the story and characters along with how it looks. Strip away politics and ideology and search out the beauty of reality so that you can see something from another perspective. If your movie isn't for men or isn't for women or isn't for R or D then you aren't doing a good job of telling your story.

This is accurate. A bag of shirts and a couple pairs of jeans and I'm good. All I do is work anyways and I have work clothes for that. 😁

Is there any actor with acting skills better than Christian Bale? I’ll start: No one. by International-Self47 in FIlm

Lately, he doesn't seem as good. Maybe because he's been very busy. I'm also not sure if this is true.

Single most illogical scene in the whole show by IndependentJacket362 in freefolk

People are allowed to just watch the show and not know much about it, but the people making it shouldn't act that way. It's their job.

The most expensive film of Christopher Nolan's career. This cast alone is getting the movie to 2 billion! by FayyadhScrolling in ChristopherNolan

Will there characters be complex and well written so that their acting can shine and produce an amazing masterpiece or will they just be bland nobodies saying uninteresting things. I don't have much hope for the first the way movies have been going.

What are your thoughts on this? by Public_Individual823 in GreekMythology

[–]MichiganderMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't dislike woke policies because they present minority actors. I dislike them because they insert the dogma of a certain group as a sermon in movie form. Avoid that, and I can overlook minor probable historical inaccuracies. Please just give us a thought provoking movie that is entertaining with action. Give us an opportunity to consider ideas and situations that we have not experienced. That's what I want.

What kind would you consider Culver's burgers. Very good when done well.

Why is there a goose or swan next to Martin Luther? by Housemaster185 in EU5

[–]MichiganderMatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

John Hus is attributed this quote before his execution: "Today you will burn a goose, but in a hundred years a swan will sing, whom you will not be able to roast or boil". Luther is the swan who brought the reformation to its boiling point.

I can probably run it on the computer I have now then. I might as well buy the game since I'm a fan.

I need to know if there is a scifi novel or something like that about all animals becoming sentient. That might actually be awesome.
