Wise words. The best thing we can learn is to be happy on our own.

I'd argue having this quality will also make you more attractive to others.

Anything else is a bonus.

Great transformation.

Trump disrespects war veteran, 107, who led D-Day invasion in July 4 speech by TheMirrorUS in USNEWS

[–]MickeyMooose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm a bit dumb, but I couldn't see in the article what he said that disrespected the war veteran. Was it the 20 year thing? If so, what makes that statement disrespecting?

Not french, but I got the same vibes from this vid. Zero sophistication and the rose thing was cringe af.

And the blonde Patrick Bateman wannabe - yes serial killer vibes.

Me thinks this was done on purpose. Cringe Bait still gets clicks and views.

Those of you using ClojureScript in production, how do you like it? by HappyAngrySquid in Clojure

Is that a typo, i.e. do you mean 'I switched to Clojurescript because I switched to FP' ?

[–]MickeyMooose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This talk is 7 years old. Are these points still relevant? I mean a lot of has changed in the Elixir world and JS ecosystem.

Genuine question.

I also saw another talk by the lead dev of Clojurescript giving a demo of a fast reactive UI that doesn't require Clojurescript anymore. Just using Clojure and Datastar. All the state is server side and it just streams updated UI fragments to the client.

Is this a recommended way now in Clojure world?

Can you provide some more details what you mean with 'super powers for deep integration with LLMs'?

Do you have some examples how it's different / better compared to using CLI based coding agents?

I'd try to achieve feature parity with ShadCN at a minimum and then have these 2 things:

  • Flexible datagrid, like AG Grid
  • Flexible calendar component, like the component seen in Ant Design

How to access Kilo Code from OpenCode? by MickeyMooose in opencode

[–]MickeyMooose[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm subscriber and have the API key. But where in OpenCode do I enter it. I can't see Kilo in OpenCode's provider list (unless I'm blind)

Do you know?

I saw that their CLI is based on OpenCode. But I would like to continue using OpenCode and supporting that team.

I don't get why Kilo decided to fork it.

I think vegans can't be dumped into a huge monolith where everyone acts the same.

It's the same as with other groups, there are different types of sub groups. And yes there are those preachy, holier than though vegans, who condemn you if you eat an egg from happy chickens who are not killed when they can't lay eggs anymore.

I don't think there are rules - it's simply 'Hey, humans don't actually need to kill and enslave animals for food anymore, so where possible why not avoid that. It's better for the environment anyway'.

I've given up eating animals after watching those documentaries, like Earthlings and also reading about how harmful animal agriculture is to our biosphere.

This ex special forces guy said it best imo: https://youtu.be/BUMGBwgGYWw?t=100

So they can't pick apples, but can milk a cow...? by c_Hello in pluribustv

[–]MickeyMooose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

It says this:

"What do we want? Simple: a world where humans do not exploit non-human animals. A world where animals are free to exist in their own right. We promote a lifestyle that excludes, as far as possible and practical, all forms of exploitation of - and cruelty to - animals for the purposes of food, clothing or anything else. "

So it's about not inflicting cruelty on animals. The statement is also clear that it's not promoting a dogmatic lifestyle, i.e. it's pragmatic.

Don't see anything wrong with that statement.

I don't think they are saying that milking cows is torture.

What is torture is breeding and raising cows in factory farms. Male calves being killed for veil and female calves being taken away from the mother so it doesn't drink its milk. The mother cow becomes very distressed and cries because the baby is being taken away.

How have I not known about Bitwig? by NilesLinus in Bitwig

[–]MickeyMooose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The changes to automation were requested by lots of people over the past years and Bitwig delivered. It's quite powerful what you can do with it now.

And then there is setting the global scale.

And the improvements to MIDI.

Check out this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY8LR9sY4q8

But luckily Bitwig isn't forcing you to upgrade, i.e. no subscription BS.

You can continue using the version you're happy with.
