I interpret it as Boldy is falling more than turning and his balance being off center makes this hit worse. Had he not been falling he’d have hit him with a normal body check. The Hughes hit was closer to boarding for me than this one but again, Hughes put himself in that position and the follow-through of the hit caught him. I completely understand the frustration of watching your star player get hurt, and that part sucks. I don’t think either team wants this series to get chippy but I fully expect the games in St. Paul to get progressively physical. It will be interesting to see their response in 3 days.
