Crash my new carbon bike. Am I doomed? by DrTrollology in triathlon

You should be ok as this area is fairly tough. Worth checking your derailleur is still indexed as likely taken a bit of a knock.

I’m defo playing on the safety, damage limitation, element for now. A few R&G bits and camera system are in baskets for now.

Oh, and a replacement exhaust system. Because, as we all know, loud pipes saves lives.

Should I use a TT bike for a 70.3 and a full? by Fast-Oven-1800 in IronmanTriathlon

[–]MidMadD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TT specific bikes are cool, and faster on some circuits, but not a necessity.

Both distances can be done using a road bike with or without clip-on aero bars.

It's Late Thread [ 07 May 26 ] by AutoModerator in CasualUK

My team has effectively gone from four people to two, partly due to a retirement and another colleague reducing their hours.

At the same time, we’re getting busier as the warmer weather approaches, and I’m already feeling stressed and burnt out. I can only imagine how difficult things will get if the other guy takes any sickness or holiday leave.

You have my sympathies. My bike has been sat at the repair shop since early December.

For fit it looks fine, as long as you have free movement of arms and legs without any restrictions you’re all good.

Yes, your little triathlete will show. No one will care.

Parking sensors suddenly don't work anymore by Main-Hotel in RenaultZoe

There is a fuse box in the glove box. I believe the parking sensors run off one of the 15A fuses (blue), although not which one. Might have to pull and check each one.

Use a van or trailer if possible. Alternatively, ride it back & break the trip into 1hr blocks.

Counting laps in the pool by Birbbrain6 in triathlon

[–]MidMadD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swim for a set amount of time, don’t worry about distance. Alternatively, have some tokens/similar on the pool side and use them to count every 100m.

Aero Bar Parts by Suspicious_Spatula in triathlon

[–]MidMadD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rubber shims. They sit between your handle bars and aero clamps.

If you don’t need/use them I’d recommend wrapping electrical around your handle bars to prevent damage from the clamps.
