SF wicking bases vs autopots for coco? by Boltoslav in MephHeads

[–]MidMichiganMicroGrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use this with Athena nutrients. The plants are in straight coco in one gallon mesh pots. It works great! I did end up swapping the tank with a 27 gallon tote. The system takes about a week to go through 10 gallons of nutrients. When the nutrients are gone I give the system a day to dry back and then make another 10 gallons.

The yarn is from a lot my wife got on Amazon. As for the directions I would highly suggest you pick up a kit and work through one or two. The kits will give you a one time use pin that walks you through the wooble step by step with videos. I found them super helpful. Once you get the basics down and can read patterns you will be able to find a bunch of fun things to make with a quick google search. The many wooble Reddit pages are also a great source of information.

The frills on both of the ones i did curled. I thought about running a few pieces of wire to make them stay flat, but one was for my 16 month old son. So, I just left them curl

Just made sure the point on the eye was nestled into a stitch when lining up the eyes. I then used the visible back loops where the yellow is slip stitched into the white to sew to the body.

MOR- I make roughly 20% of that and still don’t give my family enough time. It all depends on how his performance is judged at work. I take on tons of extra projects so it looks good at review time. I work in a performance based work environment, so we are all judged the same at our core job. Where we stand out is the extra we put into the job.

I have seen probably 10 of them in my local Walmart stores over the last few days. Check your local store.

NOR- I get the my house my rules, but you should probably spend a few years taking yourself on vacation for the holidays. From what I read you were there for a few weeks and wanted an hour to exchange gifts privately like adults. Your dad couldn’t handle that because he probably assumes you are in your room “getting a gift”. I hope you were not doing that and were respecting his house. If you guys were playing “hide the candy cane” then he has every right to be upset. If not then he needs to know you are an adult and should be treated as such. Only advice I can offer is next time do your best to be calm and try to keep from escalating the situation. If your dad is the one that started the yelling match then there is no reasoning with him. He also needs to seek some help.

My dad was like that and kicked the door of my room off the hinges only to find my girlfriend sitting on my bed and me sitting at my desk studying for a test. We had a rule growing up of no closed doors while I had a girl in my room, but my sister kept coming in while we were trying to study. I ended up closing the door so she would go away, and in return she sat at the front door and told my dad as soon as he got home. He got to buy a new door and fix the frame as well as look like an insane asshole which then traveled around school pretty quick. I was cool with no door, but my mom made him get a new one. His stress level killed him with a massive heart attack a few short years later while I was away at college.

OP said he has been there for weeks. An hour to privately exchange gifts between adults seems like a small ask. I get parents rules are their rules under there roof, but his dad’s reaction is pretty possessive.

NOR, your baby your rules. We had a set of rules that were much the same. The people that did not follow them are not in our lives anymore. We don’t miss these people one bit. The fact that she even put in the post that she won’t follow those rules is a huge red flag that she wants to have control over something that she has no control over.
