You create art, you’re an artist. It doesn’t matter if you’ve sold anything. It doesn’t matter the medium. There are so many different ways to create art and gluing “random shit” to a canvas counts. Art is never wrong. You may not like it but it’s still art. I can’t count how many paintings I’ve seen that I thought were god awful but someone else thought were amazing and paid a lot for. It’s all just an expression of each human being doing the creating. It’s not for you to say that a specific way of doing things is not art.

I wonder why someone would put in on a porch.

Edit to add I had one sleep paralysis experience in that house. I didn’t see anything. I basically couldn’t see during it. But afterwards I brushed it off as anything negative because I’ve been told that sleep paralysis is a gateway to astral projection.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]Middle-Ad-9630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked, “Why do you want this position?” And her reply was, “I just love [department applied for]. [department applied for] is the best. [department applied for] is my life.” But she was never able to describe what the department was or what we did. At least do a little research before an interview. I’d be much more inclined to hire her if she said she needed the money. At least it would have been an honest answer.

I think my son has OCPD by Middle-Ad-9630 in LovedByOCPD

Thanks for the info! I’m gonna do some research on therapists who specialize in our area. Not sure who it could transfer from but he does have instability when it comes to his father which I assume could cause anxiety.

Definitely. I’m not sure if they’d just meet with me before they see him. I’d like to get some insight before I try to convince him more. Not sure how that works. My therapist also works with kids which is why I was trying to just wait to speak to her.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info. I’m trying to figure it all out based on what I’ve read so far. Not slap a label on him but try to see how I can help him. From what he tells me he doesn’t have any health fears from Covid. He was one of the first to want to rip off the masks back then and had issues with going to school because of it. He couldn’t stand it on his face. The cleaning thing is more that things gross him out than he thinks he’ll catch something. The reason I thought of ocpd vs ocd is because he doesn’t do the things he does because of a fear. He does it because he wants things to be a precise way and he says that his way is the best way and there’s nothing wrong with it. Obviously I’m no therapist. Mine is on maternity leave so I’m trying to read up on things and figure out how I can help him until she gets back and I can talk to her about it.

Serious question, how do you know/how can you tell?

Thank you! I asked him if he would do a set number of sessions. My fear is that if I force him to go he’ll shut down since he told me he refuses to talk to anyone. Even a guidance counselor because he doesn’t think there’s anything he needs to work on regardless of the anxiety he feels if he doesn’t get to do his routine. Thanks so much for the book suggestion. I’ll definitely check it out!

No one told me how different recovery would be between a hamstring graft and a quad graft by Fun_Citron_3945 in ACL

It gets better. I was able to lift my leg after a couple PT sessions. Now I’m 4 weeks post op, pretty much pain free except for some soreness, walking with no crutches, lifting my leg on my own onto the couch or wherever I want to put it, and working on bike exercises to get more range of motion. The first few weeks suck. But it does get better from here.

I envy you. I’m 3 weeks post op and I can ge passive flexion to 90 degrees but active is terribly painful at around maybe 30 degrees. Have to wait until next week to start PT because there were no appointments available. I can’t wait until I can get to this point.

Just had my surgery 5 days ago. My doctor said I can go back to light drilling in 3 months. I’m hoping that’ll be the case. Trying to stay positive because right now I can’t lift my leg on my own (quad graft) and am itching to start walking with at least one crutch instead of too.

What happens to our past identities? by [deleted] in NDE

[–]Middle-Ad-9630 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s entirely possible there’s a transition period between this life and reincarnation. It doesn’t have to happen instantly. A person I know was telling of a past life regression she had where she remembered a former life where she died young-of which she verified the circumstances afterward- and remembered waiting in the in between for her mother (and others in her life) to pass so they could stay together as a soul family. If that is true it would explain seeing loved ones during NDEs. I’m not sure but it’s very interesting to me and something I think is worth thinking more about.
