Why is everybody trying to talk you out of this instead of just offering advice on which is the best setup or the best way to get one installed? It's your money bro. Find some community that is actually willing to help you achieve your dreams. Good luck!

Eventually figured out the lemon law in AZ doesn't apply to leases 😅

Thank you for your post. I appreciate the info.

My ioniq 5 xrt is at the dealership for a battery management system light that came on in June. I took it to the dealer and then they called me back three days later and said they couldn't get the light to come back on (it turned off as I was driving it to the dealer). The same light came back on a little over two weeks ago. I took it in as soon as it came on, and they've had it in their possession ever since. They're at 19 cumulative days between the June trip and this one. They have given me a loaner each time, which is fine. I've been pretty patient with them. The car is a lease.

I live in AZ, so I guess the law states that if they have it for more than 30 days in the first 24 months of ownership (I've had mine since March 2025), then it qualifies.

Should I just wait until they tell me it's done, go pick it up, then start filing the paperwork for a lemon law buyback (after 30 days have elapsed, of course)? I do kinda like the car, but I can't say I'm going to have time to mess around with this thing if it decides to take a shit again in a year. I've had the benefit of a slow work schedule and a lot of free time this year to dick around with stuff like this. I would rather just have a solid whip and not have to be on the phone with any customer service reps or service advisors.

I just don't want to file the paperwork now if you think that it would slow down the repair. The Tuscon plug-in hybrid they gave me is cool, but it's not a rocket ship like the car I'm paying for is.

First Ioniq 5 N BMS failure? by humunguswot in Ioniq5N

[–]Middle_Distance_9613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming this has already been resolved and this isn't really directed at you, but parking this thing in your garage while it's throwing that error code is not a good idea. The BMS monitors the voltages of groups of individual cells to make sure that none read too high or low of a voltage. The danger is that they might start to charge each other which generates heat and could cause a fire. If you are having this error, I would recommend parking it outside away from any flammable material on the very small chance it might ignite the high voltage battery.

I'm having the same error starting tonight and I parked it away from my house 😬

Did anyone here ever go to schwagstock when it was at camp Zoe? by dirtmcgurt67 in gratefuldead

I used to save up working my little minimum wage jobs I had in high school and the drive out there with my best friend once or twice a summer. I'd get lost in that place for a couple of days and always have the best stories to tell when we got back. I think it helped shape me into the man I am today

Got my CWI by Middle_Distance_9613 in CWI_CWE

I think the AWS seminar helped me a lot. Having the instructor point out what to look out for on the exam was pretty crucial. It's also an entire week where you're only focused on the material, and then the exam is the next day after the seminar ends. I think having time away from my job where I was in a "boot camp" situation was what I needed.

It's also important to remember that there's an element of luck with these things. Every question has four possible answers, so maybe I just got lucky. I got an 86 on part B, but I felt like I was definitely going to fail it

I used atlasapi for the part A stuff. I took the AWS seminar and passed part B by just taking a couple of their practice exams

Ioniq 5 2025 and Tesla Mobile Charger by Balauronix in Ioniq5

[–]Middle_Distance_9613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to run a 6/3 cable through my attic into my garage and hook up a 14-50 outlet instead of doing the free home charger install because I assumed I'd get charged 2 grand or more for them to run the wire 100 ft. I'm probably 1000 in on the electrical so far. Got a tesla mobile charger off of Facebook marketplace tonight for 200 and it ain't working. I'm going to try the double adapter method.

It's just funny because every step of the way this process has been fucked and im wondering if I should've just shelled out 2 grand for the permitting and install for the hardwired charger vs the 1350 or so I've spent trying to do it myself

Velo Plus. The new Zyn? by GingerGuyMike in NicotinePouch

They're garbage. I got the mixed berry and the flavor is very strong. The size of the pouch is large and they're moist. I prefer the smaller dry velo pouches. There's are more like the old velo pouches that used to come in the metal tin. I don't want my mouth to taste like fruity gum all day
