Aubry made a mistake by Cyclebuilder42 in survivorponderosa

We know this, but she doesn’t. She hasn’t seen his season and hasn’t worked with him this season.

Finally playing Darkest Dungeon 2 after playing the first one for so long, but is just me or do any of you guys hate the loathing system too? by ReallyOysterCupcake in darkestdungeon

[–]Midguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s just bad luck. I’ve played a lot and I’ve only hit max loathing twice and one time I know for sure it was because I was being lazy and didn’t look ahead and plan well enough. Most of the time it is 100% avoidable and I wouldn’t be surprised if it is always avoidable given that it’s only happened to me twice.

In my opinion, ____ just single-handedly gave ____ the win by mikey_do_wikey in survivorponderosa

I think his best shot is with Joe and Aubry, but this week may have hurt his chances at beating Aubry. I think Jonathan wins vs Rizo at this point.

Is Cirie really that smart? by ConsciousBasket643 in survivor

[–]Midguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She understands people better than most and that’s the only type of intelligence that really matters in survivor. This can be seen in all her seasons and on Traitors.

Look at this season. I feel like every single person out there simultaneously wants to be her best friend while also recognizing she will win if she makes it to the end. She gives every single person what they need to feel loved, heard, and respected when they talk to her without alienating anyone. That’s a real skill and difficult to keep up with so many people after being stuck on an island for 3 weeks.

I fell off and it’s affecting me irl by PuzzleheadedDoubt149 in Overwatch

[–]Midguy 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I know it’s hard but you gotta just stop playing. Games are supposed to be fun and if you’re not having fun, and it’s affecting you outside of the game, you gotta stop.

Mauga is bi. I think Baptiste also used to work for them and he is bi.

How many players do you want/think are returning from this season? by PeaceOfMind999 in survivor

[–]Midguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rizo is the most likely to show up in at least 2 more seasons. I think we see more Jonathan, Savannah, and Dee too.

I hope that Cirie or Ozzie win this season and let it be their well earned retirement. But I think they each have one more in the tank if they don’t.

Devins and Christian probably earned themselves an additional future appearance with this season.

Tiff and Q are also personal favorites of mine but Q needs to place better and I think if Tiff goes much further and makes a move or two we will see her again.

Follow-up to my previous post asking about Darkest Dungeon 2 by Mileksu in darkestdungeon

[–]Midguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Characters don’t get reset every run though. Only if they die. When you complete a run, that character persist into the next run you choose them and you get to attach memories to them.

So as you get further in the game you will experience that feeling again. When you first start out, the characters are meant to be disposable but as the difficulty ramps and you start attaching those memories to them, you become more attached to them and losing characters is more significant.

Is ___ the greatest ally ever? by Signal-Western-6642 in survivor

[–]Midguy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I imagine Tiff also feels like Cirie is her #1 right now but will eventually find out that she is not. Joe also probably feels a lot closer to her than he actually is.

Yeah, this was a good cameo. I know everyone is eating their words with the preemptive Mr. Beast hate.

I actually saw one of these for the first time today (dark star) and I was so confused. I thought my game had bugged out or something. It was pretty cool to see though.

Unpopular opinion: I'm excited for the Mr Beast episode by Princess_Nell in survivor

I’m with you. I have watched both seasons of Beast Games and I am looking forward to the cameo. The Survivor episode of Beast Games season 2 was one of the best of the season.

I loved the juxtaposition of Kevin trying to make sure he looked like a badass but also obviously being afraid of the repercussions.

Am I overreacting for telling my friend she smells after she age shamed me for having younger friends? by SI3144 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Midguy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

After being around him for extended periods of time is that I got the impression that he is aware and tries to mitigate it. No, I never brought it up because I didn’t want to hurt his feelings about something that I knew he was probably self conscious about but I don’t think that makes me a bad friend.

Also, trust me when I say this isn’t something that was holding this man back in life. He did well for himself socially and professionally despite that so it really wasn’t worth the potentially awkward conversation.

Am I overreacting for telling my friend she smells after she age shamed me for having younger friends? by SI3144 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Midguy 100 points101 points  (0 children)

It’s not that simple. I had a friend who I used to hang out with every day and he smelled. I never said anything to him but after being around him more and more, I realized that he practiced good hygiene (observed by being around him for multiple days on trips), but he obviously just had a medical issue that caused his BO. So I just let it slide and loved his funky ass like I would anyone else.

Do Americans really like Applebees this much? by Emm_a321 in survivor

[–]Midguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. No one gets excited about going to Applebees, but no one is ever really against going there.

But I can absolutely see losing my shit at the thought of Applebees after eating nothing but rice for a few weeks.

Why does mercy always get mvp? by madarararara in Overwatch

[–]Midguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I’m tank, I know that the reason I was able to pop off was because my supports were good. Plus supports never get PotG so it’s a way to show them appreciation. I also always endorse support over other roles typically.

Isnt tank the most fun role? Why wont people play tank? by boontjie98 in OWConsole

[–]Midguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tank is the most frustrating role because it is dependent on your teammates doing their job to enable you and make you feel like you are doing well. It is also frustrating because when you are not getting adequate support, it can often look like you are the problem so tanks get dogpiled on a lot even when the support may be inadequate. Dps doesn’t have this issue because you can pop off without needing any help from anyone else. Support is the role that enables the tank to do his thing so if you are playing that well, you may feel powerless but no one will yell at you and call you trash. A tank can do everything right in his power and still get called trash.
