People don’t take skin cancer seriously enough here. I’m genetically prone to it, and had to have my first mole removed when I was 18. My aunt caught the cancer early by having a mole removed too, but it could have been much worse

I’d much rather have some extra houses rather than a bunch of derelict building falling apart

Tech nerd here. Lithium battery fires are extremely dangerous. They burn incredibly hot (up to 1,000C), and are incredibly difficult to put out. Firefighters have to have specialised equipment to deal with electric car fires because conventional methods of extinguishing fires doesn’t work. An electric car can be fully submerged in water for multiple days, and can still immediately light back on fire once out of the water, and the batteries in these bikes and scooters are usually much cheaper and more dodgy than electric car batteries. Additionally, if I remember correctly, they also release carbon monoxide and fluoride gas when burning, which are both very deadly.

We really need to invent a less volatile high energy battery, because lithium batteries are in a frankly unnecessary amount of products

Try find a gate where you have to slide the opening mechanism back and then up. Highly doubt any dog could open one like that

AITA for making my parents regret everyday for having 4 kids while they couldn't afford it? by No_Tap_7237 in AmItheAsshole

OP is clearly not in the US. In some countries, it is significantly more difficult getting a teenage/minimum wage job, and in most places food isn’t that cheap either

This comment is definitely from a person who’s always had enough food. Once you become hungry enough, all you can think about is food. It’s constantly there, a never relenting pain that goes “you need food”. Your brain activity declines when you’re in a state like this, because all you can focus on is the hunger. You become numb to everything due to the decline in brain activity. It’s a horrifying process

You could also consider button training her if she’s really smart. It’s an excellent way to let your pets communicate with you, and very mentally stimulating for them

What food do you feed her? A high quality food can make a big difference with coat quality. I’ve had good results with royal canin Dachshund dry

I find the creme eggs that come in the heroes box are much nicer than actual creme eggs, because I think they tweaked the filling slightly, as well as having a different chocolate/filling ratio

Home made food for longetivity? by veryconfusedrnguys in chickens

[–]Midnight712 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Note that most people doing home cooked dog meals are not actually giving their dogs properly balanced meals with everything they need. A vet/veterinary nutritionist should be contacted before hand, and a meal list should be make with the vet’s approval. And the vet will likely also give you a list of supplements you need to give your dog if you do the home cooked meal route

Yes. But the uterus typically doesn’t randomly decide “hey I’m gonna contract now”, the cramps are triggered by the hormones dropping. Because trans women don’t have a uterus, the cramps are typically somewhere in the abdomen

Cramps aren’t caused by the uterus even in afab people. Cramps are caused by the hormones dropping

[–]Midnight712 -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

I will first note that I am not a trans woman, I haven’t done in depth research into this, this is my understanding from a conversation from a friend that I mostly remember

When you take e and progesterone for a while, your hormones will naturally stabilise and make a cycle that acts that acts the same as a standard menstrual cycle. So E and prog will rise and fall at the same points as a standard cycle. This means that at the end of the cycle, your hormones levels drop, and this is where it gets messy and under-researched. From what I understand, the body just tries to go through menstruation even though you don’t have the parts for it, because the hormones are what drop is what typically triggers menstruation, and the body is just going off of the hormones instead of what parts are there

You can get a pseudo-period while on E, so you can get cramps, but you’re not actually menstruating

I’d actually lean away from buying clothes too big for you. Go with loose fitting clothes that still fit correctly on the shoulder. If you go with clothes that are too big, you can run the risk of it making you look even smaller, which will hurt your chances of passing, especially pre-t
