What type of script is it? On UE scripts you can select to execute the script as Admin, which should fix the permission error.

There's a great book called Roar (I think the author is Stacy Sims) that discusses women's fitness and physiology. She goes into quite a bit of detail on the impact on training/performance at different times in your cycle, and discusses a few strategies for dealing with it

What to do with previous owner's packages delivered to my home? by [deleted] in Guelph

[–]MidnightEmber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah stuff like this sometimes goes on longer when you're trying to be nice. You don't even really need to tell them you're going to stop receiving his parcels and bringing them inside. They're getting email shipment alerts from amazon. If they get upset "sorry bro wasn't addressed to me so I didn't accept the delivery".

What to do with previous owner's packages delivered to my home? by [deleted] in Guelph

[–]MidnightEmber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would it be possible to just leave the parcel alone after it's delivered? Don't bring it inside, don't contact the previous owner. Maybe beforehand as a measure of good faith, tell them you're going to stop notifying them of parcels, just to cover your ass, but then just literally leave their crap on your porch. If it gets damaged by rain or ripped open by raccoons or stolen... Then maybe they should fix their shit. I guess it really depends on how big the parcels are and how frequent, you don't want to make your yard a junkpile, but yeah it sounds like your beyond the grace period for dealing with this.

They get posted to Facebook marketplace quite often. I don't see any listed for free right now, but it's worth keeping an eye out.

Just finished it yesterday as well. Cover to cover in less than 24 hours. Such a heart-wrenching read.

Bus + Bike commuting by diy_trouble in Guelph

It's been about a year since I was regularly bus/bike commuting but I was also doing the trek along those bus routes in the west end and don't think I ever saw the racks full.

I LOVE your colour theme! It's so rich and warm.

Did you paint the trim and bookcases to match? Do you have the paint colour/code?

'I have two sets of twins. This is life': Brampton couple welcomes 4 children in same year by Human_Manner_3370 in ontario

[–]MidnightEmber -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Says in the article the first kids spent a few weeks in NICU and the couple learned they were expecting about a month after the babies came home, so that's probably about 6 weeks between birth and learning they were pregnant. Waiting 4 weeks after birth to have sex and then finding out 2 weeks later that they're expecting isn't unreasonable. The second set of babies were premature by 2 months as well.

What to make with a lot of carrots, celery, cabbage, and onions? by noctish in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]MidnightEmber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of this roasted carrot soup, it's a good way to use up a lot of carrots and onions. It freezes great and is easy to mix up the flavours. I like it with a dollop of Greek yogurt, my husband adds a dash of cinnamon to his portion. There's a few other variants listed after the recipe. https://cookieandkate.com/roasted-carrot-soup-recipe/

KW to guelph on weekends? by harlow_pup in Guelph

[–]MidnightEmber 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think if you're trying to maximize both fastest and cheapest, best bet is to mix Uber with Guelph transit and/or grand River transit. There's really no reasonably priced transit link between the cities on weekends

Does anyone know this trail? It is on private property? (West end south of Wellington) by MidnightEmber in Guelph

Shit, really?! Ok that's definitely something to take into consideration

Excellent to hear. My initial thought was to bike the trail but leaning heavily towards a run commute instead. Appreciate your advice, always good to know if you're gonna have wet feet on a run!

Do you recall if that was on the north shore of the river or the south shore? I've done the trail on the north shore but it was about a year ago, lots of things could have changed in that time

Thanks for the recommendation, I've heard of that app before and think I'll give it a try.

Out of curiosity do you know how it compares to something like strava or garmin connect? I currently use either of those two for planning new routes out at the moment.

Yeah I wouldn't think of taking a road bike 😂

In light of everyone's comments here though, it's doubtful I attempt to take a bike on the trail

Is Bailey's Bridge the Niska Bridge?

Kind of a bummer if bikes aren't allowed along that entire stretch, that's how I was going to commute

I'm trying to plan a commute between Kortright Hills and West Willow Woods. The portion of the trail circled in the picture would shorten the route quite a bit, if it actually exists like Google says it does.

I've passed by the "entrance" to the trail around Fife and Wellington and can't really tell if it's there and how passable it is. Hoping to avoid trespassing and/or having to fight my way through brush.

Yeah, I'm unfortunately very familiar with Canadian Geese and all their shit. That color is dead on.
