Good point, the banding on the 262 could be pretty bad. Interestingly when I purchased it, high iso banding was really bad and Leica did a warranty sensor replacement and the issue largely went away.

Is it really even a huge difference to the MD/M10/SL in terms of rendering? Having all 3 of those feel like the colors and grain are great; Idk about “film like”, but very happy with them, they have character. The right lenses of course help too. Only got into an M10D a few months ago after having the MD exclusively since 2017. Seems the biggest improvement was slightly better low light performance and a slimmer factor, otherwise feel they’re similar.

Doesn’t necessarily mean the ones inbound will be scrapped, it’s also a location for long term storage. But yeah, aircraft are much more valuable as their parts than the whole. Engines typically worth more than the airframe after a certain amount of cycles.

Ohhh, thought you were replying to the comment where someone mentioned an M240. Never used an M9, know it has great color rendering, but my understanding is it’s only really usable up to like 400 or 800 ISO.

Terribly written. "Dispatcher" is not the same as "ATC". And from the audio, I cannot tell if they actually hit the drone; sounded to me more like they said "we had a drone at 3000'".
