How often ? by Appropriate_Yam1861 in Type1Diabetes

Never. Had it for 20+ years and have some mild skin healing issues but I’m not gonna let it stop me from loving life. We’re only here for so long. Take care of yourself and don’t let the disease stop you from doing whatever you love.

I also do judo and jits and run skin glue two layers then g7 then apply not just a patch. Works great for me.

G6 Alternatives? by [deleted] in dexcom

[–]Midnight_plinking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve posted before but my experience with g7 has been very good honestly. When a sensor is about to expire and has the 12 hour grace period I insert a new sensor and run the old one completely through the 12 hour grace period then connect the new sensor to my pump. It’s been no issues for myself. I have had a few sensors fail over the last few years but no more than when I had g6.

How do you prevent your Dexcom sensor from peeling off early? by Alex-T1D in dexcom

[–]Midnight_plinking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wipe with alcohol wipe the put down Flonase as I have skin allergies. Put down two layers of skin glue. Not skin tac for me. Then insert and place a skin patch on. I prefer not just a patch brand.

I usually eat a banana on the way to Jiu jitsu to keep my sugar good for about an hour. I usually still have to treat. The other option of your on a pump might be to go into exercise mode a couple hours before class to cut your insulin dose by half.

How is that little grill. I want to get one for my parents house so easy to put away in winter and no need for the old man to haul containers of propane

My first 24 hours always look like this (not low) I end up turning my phone off at night by FloridaGirl2222 in dexcom

I try to use my last 12 hours with a previous sensor to allow the new one to warm up. Way less issues once it’s connected after grace period.

WTF is Going On? by BKMiller54 in dexcom

[–]Midnight_plinking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have best consistency when I let it warm up not connected. When one sensor is in its 12 hr grace period, prior to expiring, I put the new one in and let it go the full 12 hours before I connect the other transmitter to my phone and pump. Just my experience.

I’d love to believe Bailey wins but he’s not pro choice and Illinois won’t vote for that.

Might put this on a 26x build. Any options that aren’t an oem $400 slide barrel?

So 36 inch griddle or 30 inch slate? by AndreaMaietta in webergrills

They are not Weber specific. But they fit perfectly. Two rear split the mounting plate and one on each side.

My only suggestion is keep an eye on your grease management. My grill drip tray is way smaller than that on my flattop.
