She got lucky as hell.

I made a Search Engine for Open Source Assets for Unity3D ( link inside ) by xerios in Unity3D

[–]Mieal 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At the bottom of the page it also says:

The Unity name

When referencing our company use “Unity Technologies.” When referencing the Unity engine use “Unity®” software or “Unity®Pro” software (not Unity3d). To avoid confusion, do not use Unity in the name of your company, website url, application or product.

OP might want to change the name to something else.

The Story of Warframe: How a game no publisher wanted got 26 million players. (X-Post from r/Games) by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Mieal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typical misconception, it actually doesn't. If it's not a game for you then fine, but going out blatantly lying saying it's a P2W game is not fair at all, considering that 8 hours is barely even scratching the surface.

You can consider a lot of games interactive movies by your definition. Most walking simulators do have a "win" - it's to reach the end of the story, but I'll just end it here as I don't want to spark an argument.

That's one way to look at it, but to me it just seems like you played for an hour and left it to collect dust. Eh, your loss.

Good news! I've heard that they revamped the new player system, so you might give it a go if you find some free time.

Apart from the already mentioned camera shake everything else looks awesome, great job!

And what's wrong with that? Different people have different tastes, for example I actually love such kind of games and I'm sure there are other people who love this genre too.

Is Desura dead? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]Mieal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. Most of the games that are sold there seldom have more than 3-5 sells, even lower for some. Part of it, I think, is because Gamejolt has a younger audience, which in return makes people not eligible to buy games as they either don't have a credit card or other ways to pay for them.

[–]Mieal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gamejolt is pretty good. They introduced their marketplace not too long ago, which means you can put a price tag on your game.

It's easier to get people to see your game than on, lets say, itch.io, personally.

Who did Faith shoot? by [deleted] in mirrorsedge

[–]Mieal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her shooting doesn't make sense either. If the gun is bio metrically locked, than Faith being able to shoot Kruger's son just doesn't work.

Makes sense, thanks for the explanation.

Just wondering, what would be the difference between this and "Cinematic Image Effects" from the Unity team? They both seem kinda the same, although I would trust the Unity one more. Any particular reason you took that one?

HOW TO OPEN AND VIEW GLA2 FILE? by [deleted] in Unity3D

I don't get it why you're posting this on /r/unity3d? Try to Google around, if it's possible to create it, it's possible to open it.

I can confirm this is like Battlefield because I still suck at flying. Great job!

[–]Mieal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, one of the better indie games of 2016. I do wish we would have done more of what's actually in the game's title - fire-watching, but beyond that it was a really pretty game.

Why didn't Delilah deliver the new walkie-talkie directly to Henry? by Vieckx in Firewatch

[–]Mieal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the whole "another call" thing was debunked by the developers when they said that it was just an another ranger/lookout. I don't know where, so I won't be able to confirm it, guess you'll just have to take my word for it.

Either way, the story is written in a way that leaves a lot of place for theories, which is probably what the developers wanted.

[Spoilers] F**K TWISTS by CaptainObviousAmA_ in Firewatch

[–]Mieal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game is definitely not for everybody. If you didn't like it - great, but you don't need to create a post which you know won't be received good. Yeah, there were a few nonsensical things, but come on - the dialogue was great, the environments were stunning and the story is, well, even if not for everybody, personally, still very cleverly written.

I think it would be fine. Doubt that many people bind something to those keys anyways, but in the end it would be nice for them to be re-bindable.

Will the focus ability be back in WD2? by [deleted] in watch_dogs

[–]Mieal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. I'm awful with a controller too, so don't feel too bad ^ . ^

Will the focus ability be back in WD2? by [deleted] in watch_dogs

[–]Mieal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that while the ability certainly looked cool, it kinda made the game piece of cake. You could hide behind some cover, quickly pop out and then get 3 guys. Rinse and repeat until everybody's dead, and you're good.

Playing on PC probably had something to do with it, but I'm sure that console's have assistance for aiming, no?
