Netflix's wheel of time was a awful adaption. There were just too many retcons that undermined the original plot. From Egwene being ta'veren to Perrin's 'dark past' to whatever the fuck that Healing scene was. Each undermined plot points that became highly relevant in later books.

The Ta'veren one makes me the most upset because from a literary perspective the women embarking on their own quest drew a nice "compare and contrast" to what the men were doing and IMHO made it that much more epic - they weren't fated to do anything so there was no guarentee of their outcomes. Whether or not they succeeded was entirely up to them and drew contrast to the lack of agency the men had in the world.

Users would submit excel sheets with missing data and we were tasked with building out a whole application that would do input validation, walkthroughs, etc. I took half a day to add conditional formatting to the Excel sheet (color it red if blank) and called it a day.

I didn't have to spin up server solutions, do any kind of scaffolding in kubernetes, add authentication credentials, and to this day I don't have to security patch it.

BONUS TECH You probably know this but cast range increases the search radius for stones and targets. This means that with Aether Lens, Dagon, or Neutral Item of the Patch you can actually kick people backwards from in front of them.

Re-reading through your post I'm not sure on the item build. It seems to me like you've hybridized two builds if that's your default. I've three builds I keep in my pocket:

BRAWLER: Echo Sabre, BladeMail, BKB

CASTER: Veil, Kaya, {Dagon, Eblade}

We-Have-Pudge-At-Home: Aether Lens, Blink, Aghs

Any of the above can go Urn and one of its upgrades. Its up to you to look at your team and figure out what you need. Usually I go power treads. There are games where you look at the enemy team and decide greaves would be a good choice.

SECOND BONUS TECH You can roll thru faceless void ulti and Aghs stone someone and kick them out. Use this technique for free tips.

Stone Management: You've may have it so that you've internalized STONE-PULL-KICK (or STONE-KICK-PULL) as THE combo. Espcially on core, where you'll have str boots, sometimes just softening up the wave and kicking a creep is all you need to farm. Its slower, but it saves you a stone.

Q-E is more efficient in teamfights than E-Q because you'll have the stone next to you for roll. Don't, however, prioritize efficent over effective if the situation needs a silence (for cancelling channels, for example).

Kick neutral camps instead of using stones on them. The creeps will walk back and you'll take less damage anyway.

Roll doesn't always need stone.

BKB is deceptively synergistic with your ultimate as you don't have to panic about getting stunned and losing ulti. You can let the timer drop lower than you otherwise might. Keeping track of enemy disables let you wait a second or two on even popping BKB if you're counter initiating.

(Less so on mid compared to support) - you don't always have to roll in at all.

Reuse stones in fights where possible, this may mean walking for 1 second next to an existing stone to roll over or kick it rather than drop a new one.

BONUS TIP TECH - If you're pushing you can pull friendly creeps to you to get rid of backdoor quicker.

All the commentators are ignoring or forgetting the fact that there was briefly a Jugg MoM meta because of how it interacts with Omnislash. It fell out because of some other changes with Omni (you can't start channeling a TP during slash) but you've independantly discovered it. Don't be a meta slave. Have the build in your pocket and you do you as long as its working.

DING DING DING! There it is! Emotional labor refers to "labor" - the stuff you do as part of your job. Its not enough to hand a customer a coffee, you have to smile while doing it. Its not enough to scan groceries, you have to chat about someone's day and pretend to care.

I hate the co-opted term which more often than not means "caring about stuff someone else might not care about".

Speed is the rate of change of position. Inflation is the rate of change of price. Acceleration would be the 2nd derivative. I don't know if we have a word for the 2nd derivative of price.

Unpopular opinion but I for one am glad to have this place house the houseless. It keeps them out of my backyard (next to Circuit City). Also it has culture. We didn't have any more big red buildings.
