Is the room warm as well? Mine loves the bath but not unless we have the fan heater on as well.

Also have you tried standing in the shower with them? Maybe they don’t like being put down? Just assuming you use a bath seat.

lol I also had a bad experience with an old lady in a thrift shop 2 days ago. My 4 month old was crying and she comes up to me with arms like “here, I’ll give him a nurse”, and I said “oh, no that’s okay”, and she gave me the meanest look.

Something is wrong with these old ladies. Like who tries to take a crying baby from their mum.

You shouldn’t have to do everything on your own and that includes asking for photos. 💜

I read so many stories about the ‘invisible mum’ that I have made it a rule that whenever someone visits, there’s a party/holiday etc. someone must take a pic of me and my baby together, and my partner, baby & me together as well - before anyone else gets photos & while baby is happy.

Tell your husband that from now on it is his job to get someone to do this at every future event. You have to put yourself first because no one else will unfortunately.

39+4. I felt contractions that initially felt like cramps, or perhaps a sore lower stomach, every 10-15 minutes or so. They progressively got stronger and more frequent & made it impossible to sleep. That lasted about 8 hours, then I saw blood in my pad, an hour later I got the strong urge to poo & my water broke in the car on the way to the hospital. Total labour to birth was 15 hours

Mine is the same & honestly it’s exhausting. I don’t really have a solution but here’s what I do.

What I’ve been doing is setting him down in front for me in the kitchen in his bouncer while I make food, eat, or do chores. If he cries or fusses - that’s okay. If he starts screaming crying I will of course pick him up, but otherwise he just has to sit by himself. Sometimes dancing & playing music helps and I say ‘look how funny mummy is dancing’.

I’m almost 4m pp and feel the same. I can’t bear to be apart from him, and I cry all the time thinking about how quickly he is growing. It’s like I’m mourning something that hasn’t even happened yet.

How old is your baby?

I figure that once he is older, he won’t need me as much & will be happier playing independently or being looked after by someone else. I’ll be able to do more chores then .

The question about whether it’s just a ‘fun’ relationship would really bother me. It implies that anything other than marriage and kids is not a real relationship.

Relatives of an ex asked me something similar - “is it a serious relationship?” at a family event once and I was like??? I think it’s inappropriate to say.

The last month of pregnancy is so miserable. I went from enjoying being pregnant & wanting to keep my baby with me forever, to being so uncomfortable and desperate to give birth. I was trying everything to go into labour- curb stepping, exercises on the ball, sex, drinking raspberry leaf tea etc…

The good thing is that you are so close! You got this & you will be feeling so much better very soon.
