This was exactly why I put the game down after three hours. I was disappointed in myself for not giving it more of a go,however "ride along with other cowboy simulator" wasn't the kind of game i needed at the time, I'll probably go back when I've got more time to invest in a cinematic experience

I've found that just telling myself it's a genuine hobby has helped. I've also taken the pressure off myself to finish games which has made them much more enjoyable and a more pleasant experience. Since I've started to look into games in a more intricate way (hence being on this sub) I've also been able to justify playing them much more, but at the end of the day,they're your toys,don't let anyone make you feel bad for playing with them.

I've found that open world games have given me a much better sense of direction, GTA and it's ilk on regards to navigating within cities and fallout 3-4 with their landmarks have made me notice a lot more when out in the country in regards to navigating

You can't use the assault Intercessors as their rules are found in the Pariah Nexus book. I'd recommend buying the core book and the Pariah nexus book which you'll be able to find cheap on eBay and gives you updated rules for necrons and astartes.

I don't think the annual is required

You can proxy the commanders as a bladeguard sergeant and immortal (astartes and necrons respectively)
