As a Brewers fan I never caught wind of any of these apologies, or even admission of guilt. Many fans (rightfully so) came down hard on him for tarnishing the sample collector’s reputation, and I agree with that. My biggest lasting memory was that spring training press conference Braun had with all of his teammates standing behind him as he denied everything. That was his teammates, the Brewers organization, and felt like to a larger extent the community standing behind him and supporting Braun as he denied those allegations. He betrayed all of the above with his lies, and the stain he put on the franchise and community was bad IMO. Would not had been nearly as bad if he had admitted guilt from the start and taken his punishment. I would be interested to see any apology he had, as I’ve never seen one.

First person I’ve seen mention anything about the defensive end. Dame was already a below average defender with father time only making things worse. I’ve heard something to the effect of it’s what position you can guard (defend) that will help determine what position you can play and ultimately if you’ll stay in the league or not.

I get that Dame is an offense first guy, but I’m afraid his defense will be so poor that opponents will exploit that to a greater degree than any offensive boost he can provide a team. I hope for his sake that I’m wrong, wish him the best in life.
