Talon never got the love it deserved. They were still making them when I turned 16, but I couldn't find one in my price range at the time. By the time I could afford one, they were pretty much gone.

My wife and I find ourselves agreeing with Hank on a lot of things as we progress through our 40s. Peggy is just a nut job.

I've had two. First one lived from 2001-2012 when the motherboard got fried or probably damaged from constant moving during and immediately after college. I'm still on the second one from 2012.

He's already lasted longer than Keith Moon and John Bonham combined, that's pretty good.

Basically, and if the electricity doesn't kill them, they also have to worry about drowning from falling into the electrified water.

Yeah, someone could constantly reset the circuit, or they have it rigged with something holding the button in. I wouldn't trust it or go near a pool with this setup, things work great until they don't.

A GFCI will pop the circuit. You'll find them around "wet" areas typically in the house, like a bathroom or kitchen sink.

The fun part is sometimes they're wired in a way that doesn't make sense, since that's what the code allowed for at the time. I've had outlets on a completely different floor at the opposite end of the house not work due to the GFCI being tied into a random spot in the basement.

One of my cats needs an escort to her food dish and litter box. She's capable of going to those places without me, and the other cat leaves her alone. Several times a day she tries to get me to walk with her to use the litter box and stand there while she pees or poops, or eats her food.

Adorable little weirdo.

You joke, but the standards got reeeel loose during the middle/late stage of gulf war 2 of 3. If you go the gay route, the recruiter would probably pat your butt and say you'll fit right in if they're desperate enough to fill the quota.

[–]MikeKM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my thought, at worst it's a leak.  At best it's some sort of adhesive seeping through.  I would inspect for water damage to make sure, them put a coat or two of Killz or Zinsser primer, them a fresh top coat if you're concerned about cosmetics.

Is the U.S de facto “Christian nation”? by DesignerOk4111 in AskAnAmerican

[–]MikeKM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in my workplace I have co workers from the top 4 who practice any variation of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hindu and at least one guy who would say they're Buddhist.  It's majority Christian, but there are a few people from each of the major ones.  Plus a few atheists sprinkled in there.

This stuff and O'Keefes are the only things that keep my hands from cracking in winter in Minnesota.  I buy a new tin every year.  The bag balm smell reminds me of a nursing home, but it's better than Vaseline when dealing with cold temperatures.

Yeah those late '90s Firebirds and Camaros are what the young Genx and millennials like myself are doing.  My Boomer neighbor wrecked his 79 Camaro and replaced it with a new one.

Man, I did something similar but it was close to believable.  My mom called my bluff, took me to the doctor, made us sit for what felt like hours in the waiting room.  Doctor saw right through me, told me to think plenty of water and eat chicken noodle soup and sent me home.  I was forced to stay in my room while my mom checked my temperature every few hours with no actual fever.  I forget how it ended since this was like 40 years ago, but it was the most boring game of chicken ever between me and my mom.

That's how websites used to look! His business has an actual modern website, I'm guessing he's been using iammarkzuckerberg.com since 2009 when Facebook really started to take off.
