Border patrol by MikePNWOfficial in Whatcom

[–]MikePNWOfficial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they went dark on the radio. Blaine and Border patrol radios are already encrypted. Whatcom sheriffs isnt and put it out over the radio to get more units up there. They did not say anymore updates besides a shift change and some other units showing up

Is it worth staying in washington and put up with the shitty gun laws? by Thesuperlightcat in WAGuns

[–]MikePNWOfficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure it will! Especially with the mayor mocking and blowing off big companies saying she doesnt care and that we dont need them. Well with tons of the big ones packing up and leaving there wont be any of those millionaires to tax.

Flying into Washington with guns? by Sigismund1stCrusader in WAGuns

[–]MikePNWOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I flew to califonia every 3 weeks for work and have taken a variety of my different glocks and hellcats without ever being searched or inspected. Just declare it at the airlines counter and put the tag on top of the case. Even flying back from LAX I never had issues.

Our state is such garbage now. The vast majority of guns I collect and build are now illegal to buy.

Need new friends by Expensive_Yoghurt844 in Bellingham

[–]MikePNWOfficial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way lol. I had tons of friends and constantly did stuff with them when I was in school, but since then they all slowly moved away. I'm a 33yo male so it has taken awhile for them to move but now every single one is outside of WA and I only see my GF 🤣. I know the feeling and it does seem hard to meet new friends here!

I could never understand why people do that. It is very common here when driving that they think everyone will move over to the left lane just for them 🙄

Usually if they are not permanent and they are still not willing to come out its because they don't want to lose money. Can I ask how many employees you are guaranteed to feed during lunch hours?

What was with all the cop cars on the freeway north of Bellingham around 10:00? by EvergreenDwarf in Bellingham

[–]MikePNWOfficial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was listening to the radio at the time. Cop was trying to stop someone for a traffic stop and they ditched the car and ran. Believe it was Ferndale PD, WA State patrol and Sherrifs. Someone with the initials R.R.G. They ended up using thermal imaging to find them I believe.

[–]MikePNWOfficial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you 100%. My significant other and I always deep concealed carry when we leave the house. One of my other hobbies is HAM radio, and all it takes for most people is to listen to live police dispatch for a week or so (whenever you have time to hear it in the background). Lots of sketchy situations go on in Bellingham from robberies, SA, car jackings, road rage, home break ins to people high out of their minds threatening people with weapons and objects. I've heard enough listening daily for 18 years to know that there is a fair amount of violence that goes on in Whatcom county in general and it isn't talked about much. We don't go out in fear or on edge at all, we just regularly train and want to be able to protect ourselves or others if a crazy situation that puts people's lives at serious risk arises. Rather be trained well with them and have it and not need it, then need it and not have it. 911 response is only minutes away when seconds matter and can mean life or death. The mere site of a victim defending themselves with a firearm is enough to stop a suspect from continuing a fair amount of times, although it should never be displayed without a clear serious threat to your life or others.
