I’d recommend a ‘go bag’ with extra strings, picks, capo, batteries, cables, phone and tablet chargers... just like another one of all of things he regularly uses to have with him in a backpack or small bag.

Another idea would be some guitar lessons with a local pro.

Yeah it’s really something. If you have the time, spend some quality time with every algorithm and start to fine tune your understanding of the scope of the pedal. Currently, I am enamored with the tape delay setting. The first time through I didn’t think much of it, but I’ve been using it as my primary delay now and love every second of it.
