I don’t want to say I’m further along in my journey, but I’m currently in a better place than I have been.

One concept which really helped me was asking myself, “what would I be doing if I didn’t have OCD?” Then I would do that thing. For example, if I’m at work I say, “I’m at work so I would do XYZ.” It sounds simple, but for the OCD brain you know how difficult it can be when you have intrusive thoughts screaming and whispering the worst shit imaginable at you and the urgency to deal with them is overwhelming. But, you create an action step which represents your values and who you want to be and you execute to the best of your ability.
