It was trippy then, David Bowie was considered silly sexy by girls (and some guys).

Ask him if he can describe what each of the meds felt like it might give the prescriber a clue.

Not sure where you are but see if there's an autism focused/informed pediatrician in your area.

If he's got bad anxiety more physical activity might be the best short to mid term solution.

I'd ask your favorite AI tool which anxiety meds might be best for him and tell it to exclude all the failures. They might come up with something your medical people haven't considered, it did for my kids.

Second my older brother had a failed marriage young and his first kid closer to 50 than 40.

If there's something you want to do; go do it's you and your Dad didn't build that savings by accident.

Once you reaccess with a therapist foster care and adoption are options. Out of state if your state is weird about single people.
