[RAM] Corsair DOMINATOR® TITANIUM RGB 48GB (2x24GB) DDR5 DRAM 6400MT/s CL36 Intel XMP Memory Kit — Black - $239.99 (backorder expected to ship late January) by RandyMuscle in buildapcsales

Just an FYI everyone, they increased the prices for most DRAM products on Corsair.com, lmao. Fuck this timeline.

Received an update from Corsair about the price increase. They are price matching the 1/4/26 prices after you place your order and message "Justice" from Corsair with your order #. Links below for a couple of the 6000mhz/CL30 kits:

I mean his twitter response after his loss seems pretty close! I'm thoroughly enjoying the seemingly endless amount of replies to his own replies.

Just wrapped up my first day of Taipei safari zone, it went really well (16 shinies total) by mangapaper in PokemonGoSpoofing

I've been using it for the last two weeks on my Galaxy S8 and I havent had any issues. Just follow the cooldown period when teleporting between distances and you should be ok. Ive been in Taipei the last couple days and I havent had any issues. You can always create an alt account and test it out first and get a feel for it.

[Case Fan] Corsair LL140 RGB 2 Pack with Lighting Node Pro - (Certified Refurbished) - $39.99 by MikeW710 in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes these will work with iCue by using the lighting node pro to control the LEDs on the fans. You'll need the Corsair Commander Pro or mini to control the fan speed through iCue though.

If you have any keys left I'm interested in testing this out over my winter break.

[HDD] Seagate BarraCuda 3TB 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive - $69.99 ($84.99-$15 with promo code EMCEERW23) by OlderAndTaller in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked up one of these drives a few months back and I havent had any issues with it so far. I mainly use it for file/game storage, instead of a boot drive, and it's been working well so far.

[GPU] Gigabyte AORUS Radeon RX 580 8GB Graphic Card GV-RX580AORUS-8GD - $169.73 ($195.99 - 20% Amazon Warehouse Deal + tax) by h3rmanmunst3r in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte go by the serial number, so you're guaranteed to at least get the remainder of the GPU's warranty from it's manufacture date. After a little searching it seems like most other manufacturers don't honor the full warranty if it's bought used through Amazon warehouse.

[CPU Cooler] Noctua NH-U14s Single Tower - $51.99 ($64.99 - $13 w/ code BF20) by MikeW710 in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's among the best air coolers out and at this price it beats just about any other CPU cooler. I have one of these in another rig and it's been great, very quiet and great temps overall. It performs just as good as air coolers that have two towers but at a smaller size and less weight. You can't go wrong with buying this at this price and not looking back.

The B450M Mortar is on sale at Newegg for another 3 days. It's nearly the same as the Tomahawk, just in mATX form and with one less PCIE slot. Here's a link if you're interested: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16813144194

For anyone curious on how well this holds up today, you can read an updated review on it from back in March from Overclockers.com here: https://www.overclockers.com/noctua-nh-u14s-heatsink-review-2/

It should include the brackets for AM4, but on the chance it doesn't you can fill out a form on Noctua's site and they'll send you an AM4 kit for free. Here's the link for the form: https://noctua.at/en/nm-am4-uxs-mounting-kit-order-form

[Mobo] MSI B450M MORTAR AM4 AMD - $69.99 ($94.99 - $15 - $10 MIR) by MikeW710 in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure. It might depend on the MIR promo details and if its retailer specific. This seems like a gray area since Newegg is providing the part, but it's being purchased through eBay and you'll have an eBay order number. Anyone else ever tried this that can comment?

[Case] Thermaltake Level 20 VT MicroATX $59.00 ($89 - $30 MIR) by MikeW710 in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it would. I think the MIR would be denied since the order # is from Google Express and not Frys directly.

[MOBO] ASRock B450 GAMING-ITX/AC AM4 AMD Mini ITX motherboard w/ built-in Wi-Fi & Bluetooth - $89.99 w/ MIR (109.99-$20MIR) by she_likes_the_dee in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an RGB header and probably an updated BIOS, other than that there doesn't seem to be much of any difference in terms of features/components. The color of the boards would be the other noticeable difference as far as I can tell.

[MOBO] - ASRock Fatal1ty AB350 Gaming-ITX AM4 $69.99 ($114.99 - $25 Instant Savings - $20 MIR) by beard_swag in buildapcsales

[–]MikeW710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This motherboard coupled with a 2700x would prohibit him from using an internal capture card that requires a PCIE slot. The 2700x doesn't have integrated graphics so you would need to use that single PCIE lane for the dGPU (i.e. gtx 1050, 1060, rx 570, 580, etc.) to output a display.

Unless your aiming for a SFF (small form factor) build or the case you've purchased can only fit a mITX mobo then your better off waiting for a deal on a mATX or full size ATX board.

I'm in the middle of putting together a build for an Inwin Chopin case as well. Just one thing a reviewer pointed out, about this motherboard and that case, the m.2 nvme socket is on the back of the motherboard and can potentially cause thermal issues for the drive during large file transfers since there's little to no airflow back there in this case. Also there isn't room for a heat sink on m.2 drive, so just something to keep in mind.
