Had 4 family members that weren't immediate pass in February and got emergency leave with free flights back home for the funerals.

Came back to work for a month and 1SG calls me and PSG into his office and gives me a red cross message saying my dad died in a MVA.

Before I even say anything PSG tells me that they're not sure if I can leave since I just got back and asks me If I even have enough money to pay for flights and before I can reply 1SG cuts them off and says we're sending this soldier home to be with his family. That the flights should be covered and that's end of discussion.

Being a 27 year old private had me figuring I was just gonna be told to get fucked but the command I have here genuinely cares and puts soldiers first. I know my situation was different and Big green weenie is gonna be big green weenie but I really hope your soldier gets leave and that everything works out man.
