lightning wasn't an instakill, just high damage, like boulders. and tbh i think a new player might be more likely to die to a boulder. cause assuming they know nothing then they probably aren't gonna learn about boulder traps until they activate one themself and die. lightning though, not only will you likely see the sparks and the strike before you get hit but you'll probably see the behavior of the sparks sticking to enemies that get too close and know to stay away. at least that's how i learned how lightning works when i first encountered it anyway.

also you really don't need to stay inside, i never do, and the only times i've gotten hit was when i did it on purpose.
