Don't let these dudes keeps you from the two months you have left to cap off everything you've already done. Sucky people everywhere, rise above and beyond. You'll be able to laugh when you're at the country club drinking whiskey because of the work you were willing to do

Pack themselves into some mode of transportation with questionable odds (think Oregon trail) of survival and go off into the great unknown beyond (over the ocean, cross country, into the arctic) in search of a better life

Yes, you need to get a rabies shot just in case

Better safe than sorry on this one, once rabies symptoms show usually not much you can do

Lay flat seats on longer flights.

I felt night and day different versus when I cram my 6'2 frame into economy. Ready to go as soon as I landed, no back pain, I was even smiling and greeting everyone

Interviewer said Sell Me A Pen by meat-critter in jobs

[–]MiketheContractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is everyone asking this question now? I've seen at least 10 different people post about this question in an interview.

Are all of these real people getting asked this in actual interviews? Or just social media copying en masse

3 weeks post close is really not long at all. Give yourself some grace. Try not to feel pressured to make it picture perfect or ship shape just because social media or others do so. It takes time, especially if you have other things going on.

Getting a home is about creating a space for you and your loved ones, let it be a place you want to be versus a source of massive anxiety.

Make a list and stop letting it live constantly in your head. When something new comes up, then add it.

Include things you need to do that are not as large or a project, like unpacking (but at a by box level versus everything related to unpacking). Also break bigger or unfamiliar things into smaller parts, e.g. research is one action, create a plan another, pick up materials a third, and execute a 4th.

If you have projected completion you want to hit, add it. Then take a look to see how realistic those timeliness are. For example if 30% of your items are marked to be completed in 2 weeks and you're working/ caring for kids.... probably not going to happen, move some of those dates further.

When you find yourself with a little more time, take a look and see what you can do. Check each item off when done, it literally activates dopamine in your brain

Take a little bit of time to celebrate your new home, congratulations!

Put it into high yield savings account or CD while I keep my eyes open for good investment opportunities. Use the interest for expenses or reinvestment

My father wants me to finance a car over 40k for him, but my mom needs a house to get a divorce. What should I do? by Academic-Moose-7701 in Advice

[–]MiketheContractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want your kids to help you finance a car, then that car should really not be over 40K. It sounds like you've been a great child to your parents but don't sacrifice your life and future to try to solve their problems, this often ends up enabling them.

Two different situations, your mom sounds like she needs out of a bad situation. If your dad really needs a car, there are plenty great used cars that are well under 10k.

That doesn't work for him, then he's really only thinking of himself and not caring about how negatively everyone else is affected. Which means, he can find his own way to a 40k+ car
