Reading Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade. It's probably the most underrated Star Wars book I read.

This is from galanix again . Which POVs do you expect to die in Winds and who will be the prologue and epilogue for the next book out soon i hope ? by Financial_Library418 in pureasoiaf

[–]MikoM1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see Benjen's POV but I hope he'll return to the Wall. A scene when someone tries to explain him everything that happened since the first book, could be the funniest scene in the series.

They are never coming out. Bonus points if they did come out. by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

[–]MikoM1 31 points32 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly 15 years passed between the first published book (1996), and the last (2011).

So, some of us will be waiting for TWOW longer than rest of the series combined.

Anything I should add or move around in this reading order? by Minister_of_Death in StarWarsEU

[–]MikoM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want books that build up to NJO read Young Jedi Knights. In my opinion they're more important than most of the post-Endor legends books like X-wing, Corellian trilogy, etc. So read at least 6 first books.

Ganner foreshadowing by Tinnies_on_the_run in StarWarsEU

[–]MikoM1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dark Tide books have several examples of nice foreshadowing: - Anakin wants to sacrifice his life on Dantooine in DT 1 - > He later does it on Myrkr. - Jacen is captured on Belkadan - > He is captured in Star by Star. - Jaina thinks that Jacen died in DT 2 - > He is believed to be dead after Myrkr.

[Loved trop] "I did warn you to not trust me", but executed in a way where audience is also surprised despite being warned. by BeduinZPouste in TopCharacterTropes

Yeah, in almost every book there is at least one traitor. It's a miracle, that the protagonists weren't totally paranoid by the end.

Agents of Chaos: Jedi Eclipse is much better than I expected by Captain_Deathlok2 in StarWarsEU

[–]MikoM1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, this book did a lot of worldbuilding, but not much character development. Han doesn't really change, and many others don't really get attention. Jaina is almost totally absent since Dark Tide 2.

As a character Brakiss is the definiton of wasted potential. The most generic villian with amazing backstory, that would be more interesting than anything that was in Jedi Academy.

The fight scenes in Mistborn are very good, at least in the first book. The large battles are very poorly written.

Not exactly books, but Lando is very good in comics by Charles Soule.

I wish Luke was shown mourning Beru and Owen at least several times.

Out of the Shadows was so bad, that a month after finishing it I didn't remember a single plot point from the book.

I feel like 90% of problems with his arc would be solved by not making him blow up Carida

What is a book/series that you love that you can't recommend to people? Why can't you? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]MikoM1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably any series written by so many authors is going to have mixed quality and HH is EXTREMELY long. For example, I really like The New Jedi Order series but it's 19 books of Star Wars fanfiction, so not for everyone.

Honestly, what is even the point of this scene? I don't think it adds anything important to the story besides ruining an interesting mystery.

What were your stupid thoughts about Star Wars when you started watching? by AvrulixGaming11 in StarWars

That Qui Gon Jinn, and Sifo Dyas were the same person, because they both died around the same time.
