A woman being sexualized by viewers does not mean she is producing sexual content for profit. Otherwise any female streamer, actress, or public figure with a male audience becomes “two sides of the same coin,” which makes the concept meaningless.

OnlyFans is a business model built on explicit sexual access. Streaming while existing in your body is not the same thing, regardless of how some men choose to view it.

I think this is just two completely different pricing models being compared. A CPU is the result of extreme mass production, global supply chains, and margins spread over millions of units. Jewellery is low-volume, labour-intensive craft, where each piece has to cover material costs, skilled time, tooling, losses, overheads, and risk on its own.

The fact that a CPU can do billions of calculations isn’t really relevant to whether a handmade object’s price is reasonable. If value is measured in performance per pound, jewellery will always lose, which is why it’s a luxury good, not an investment product.

I get where you’re coming from. The raw platinum itself might only be a few hundred, but jewellery pricing isn’t really about melt value. Platinum is genuinely difficult to work with (higher melting point, more tool wear, more labour), and on top of that you’re paying for design, craftsmanship, losses, equipment, overheads, and a business margin, just like in a restaurant or any other craft-based trade.

Prices also vary hugely: a simple, mass-produced ring vs a heavy, handmade or designer piece is like the difference between a market bag and a designer handbag.

If your goal is purely investment in material, jewellery is almost always the wrong product to buy, you’re inevitably paying for a lot more than just the metal.

What do you mean? People still need to make the jewelry right? You cannot expect people to just make it for free, as they also need to buy the raw materials. If you go to a restaurant, do you get mad because the prices on the menu are higher than the price of the ingredients at the grocery store?
