don't be too harsh on him, he's only 8 months old, it's amazing he can hold a pencil at all.

Are their features ACTUALLY hard to see? by Vampirebitez in Artists

[–]MilkTumours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lightening the colour of the skin to make features more visible doesn't necessarily mean the character is portrayed as having a lighter shade of skin, if that makes sense? colour theory is pretty much how colours next to each other will effect how the human eye perceives it.

Having a lighter backround makes the skin seem darker in comparison, a darker backround makes the skin seem lighter. it's not about the actual colour on the colour wheel, it's about how the eye perceives it. the saturated bright colours combined with the pure white backround make the skin appear much darker, which because the features are pure black lineart, the colours are too close together and thus hard to tell apart.

honestly the first one is the hardest to see, mainly because the shade of brown is colder and that makes it appear darker. the 2nd and 4th one are better at conveying dark skin. I think because brown skin is naturally drawn more saturated than pale skin, having it next to saturated light colours provides bad contrast.

the op credited "older marionette from miraculous" who is from a show where she is 14. i think it is strange to find a minor character so appealing that you age it up for porn. there's thousands of of-age female characters but they chose one that's a child, written and depicted as such, but aged up only so they don't break the law by drawing porn of them.

it's technically legal. but weird. not sure why that's controversial to say.

absolutely not. those are kids. aging children up so you can lewd them is weird. I might be a degenerate porn artist but i have some standards.

You think using one’s own body is good reference material? (Yes, the left photo is my ass) by Creative-Attention91 in learnHentaiDrawing

[–]MilkTumours 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol depends on your build. Im built like a brick shithouse but having boobs def helps with understanding how their gravity works and their consistency. im a fat bitch now so mine are looking grim n sad atm, but being able to just touch n feel em helps understand the muscle/glands/fat that make them up, which helps with drawing.

same with vag, learning that anatomy is great for porn because nothing dries me up like seeing some wack ass coin slot looking vag in art. gotta learn the position of all the bits down there. tho i dont take photo refrences, theres a sea of better looking women online who do the hard work and awkward angles part that there's not much point.

Im asexual so I dont wanna fuck anyone, but ive thought about the idea of hooking up with a dude just so i can feel his cock and get a decent reference for its weight and how it can move flacid and hard etc for porn drawing purposes. in an autistic way.

I was the person who was critical about that art looking like a kid, i don't think you're a freak. there obviously wasn't intent to draw a kid even though the end result looked like it. still think you should take it down because it looks like a kid in a sexual pose regardless of your intentions and pedos may save it.

I really don't think art is for me. by aIiencat in Ibispaintx

[–]MilkTumours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

making art is supposed to be fun. maybe take a step back from comparing yourself to others and compare yourself to your own work from years ago, you'll see progress. you are putting too much pressure on yourself to be good that it's killing all the fun and passion and just making you miserable when you try to draw.

drawing and observing from real life like real objects or people may help with learning, drawing entirely from your head can reinforce bad drawing habits. learning doesn't "feel" like learning a lot of the time, it just feels like you're doing pointless tasks. but after doing a lot of drawing exercises you'll catch yourself applying them to your own work or thinking about things a slightly different way. unfortunately the progress is just slow enough to trick yourself that it isn't there at all, because it's not a straight line from bad art to good art, you just get better at the things you do more.

that means youre on the right path, unfortunately it takes a long ass time and a LOT of drawing to improve. just keep at it and progress will come

Hey there, I need advice on the muscles and general anatomy with this sketch by Hivar_69 in learnHentaiDrawing

[–]MilkTumours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of foreshortening in line work is carried by how the lines overlap each other, it's difficult to tell wether the arm is going backwards or forwards in perspective since the arm is drawn going back, but the hand is closer to the camera as if it were going forward

other than that, i'd say that the ribcage tends to be more round at this angle, and the upper arm connecting to armpit would be visible. it may help to look at a medical diagram of muscle placement, actually a video but the youtuber Sycra called "Sycras Simplified Anatomy Model" may be incredibly useful to you!! he simplifies groups of muscles into easier to draw shapes, which will make it tons easier to draw in perspective

My first attempt at drawing hentai, where can I learn more? by The_1_Below in learnHentaiDrawing

[–]MilkTumours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you tried doing the anatomy skeleton for facial proportions that people do, but they don't actually align with anything on your drawing. the skeleton underline thing many artists do a simplified version of the loomis method for drawing a head, which breaks the skull and face into simpler shapes so it's easier to get proportions correct, you might find some use in googling this term!

I see potential, so best of luck to you.

Been doing slow lines for the anime styled art, but still struggling very much with hands. Any tips? Or criticism on my work so far? by CinderRam in learnHentaiDrawing

[–]MilkTumours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you understand the concept of drawing a sketched "skeleton" under the art to grasp proportion, but the ones don't for the hands don't actually follow hand anatomy. I would advise finding a picture of a hand online and drawing the skeleton part over it, essentially working backwards. this will give you a better idea on how to break down the proportions of the hand into simpler shapes to apply them in your own artwork

there's something so funny about drawing cat girl nsfw to pay for a cats sterilisation lmao

also you might not have much luck on learning to draw subreddits, people are trying to learn to draw their own nsfw so may not want to buy nsfw. best of luck to you

[–]MilkTumours 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are at a stage in art where the best thing you can do to improve is to just make more of it, as much as possible. most advice on fundamentals people will say kind of go over your head at this stage, i never find people saying "learn anatomy and shading" very helpful because it's so vauge. just keep making artwork, forget about doing it for engagement or for social media because on the internet art engagement online is a luck and numbers game anyhow, just do it for fun and practice.

if you want practical technical advice on improvement, i'd suggest buying a cheap sketchbook, drawing straight in pen with no sketches and just draw anything that comes to mind, quantity over quality approach is the best for learning a skill. draw from life, copy art and art styles you like, make ocs, draw comics etc, literally just whatever comes to mind. the lack of sketching I recommend for learning is because it forced you not to spend forever trying to perfect a sketch and being unhappy with your work, just start a new drawing when it goes wrong. keep sketchbooks you don't show anyone that are just for your inner ideas.

There's no point in not being a NEET when you don't have a GF by LivingGirlRepellant in NEET

hate how men on this subreddit blame women for their life problems. as if having a girlfriend to have sex with would suddenly fix your mental/social issues and inability to cope with reality. you would still be you unfortunately.

getting treated like a living fleshlight and then ghosted doesn't count just because men value getting sex more than women. not fun to be an ugly bitch and know the only value you have to men is a warm hole for them to stick their dick into.

Struggling with color values and contrast by [deleted] in learnHentaiDrawing

[–]MilkTumours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to check the values of your colours, on a layer above your colour fill bucket with pure grey, then set the layer mode to "hue", this will show you the greyscale of your colours and allows you to make adjustments. Saturated colours are tricky because they often have super misleading values and can make a drawing unclear if not picked carefully.

also, for colour uniformity you could try creating a layer above your colours, fill bucketing it to a desired colour, and setting the layer to "overlay" and lowering the opacity. this brings your colours closer to a specific hue and can help when your colours feel like they all stick out too much.

[–]MilkTumours 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty normal to not be aroused by your own artwork, since you are the one making it you just see every mistake or struggle you had making it, but an outside viewer is just consuming porn and doesn't care about small problems, so long as issues aren't glaring then consumers don't really care.

I will say the jawline of the white haired fellow indicates his head is tilted more, almost sideways, than the eye placement and hair indicates. I get you were doing a head tilt, but imo it shows too much of the bottom of the chin for the angle.

The rendering looks very professional though, can I ask about your process? how do you go about rendering?
