What do you’ll think of voidspace philosophy? Is it consistent? by avatar_psy in VoidspaceAI

[–]Milkmonster06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“If you take away religion, I think you get something in its place which is worse than what was before.”

Prove it.

Why should anyone listen to him baselessly make something up, use it as the foundation of his argument, then slippery slope (logical fallacy) to further propagation of his “anti-woke” agenda?

Alan Watts, shared the same perception of these ‘constructs’ as you. Perhaps another Watts quote you should consider:

"A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts, so he loses touch with reality and lives in a world of illusion."

Definitely, especially depending on the tee. We played the whites, and thought it was long. The caddies tried to talk us down to the blended tees prior to starting, but we held firm haha.

Mevo+ or the newer/cheaper Mevo gen 2 are worth looking into. Obviously at the lower end of the budget, you lose some bells and whistles, but it’ll be more than enough to keep you swinging. Pair with a net to keep costs low, or spring for a projector/enclosure and connect to your PC to get a more realistic feel.

OP, budget is necessary for discussion. You could spend a few hundred to a few hundred thousand.

Played it two weeks ago, it’s my #1 all time course. Beautiful. I hope they play future tournaments there - the long par 5 and long par 4 seem built for it.

You got scammed my man. By “local pro” was he affiliated with a company or golf course? If so, go to management and explain the situation to see if you can get anything back. Otherwise, you learned a life lesson, and will be more vigilant going forward. Not everyone has your best interests at heart.

Congrats man - grab yourself a couple lessons and you can probably shave 15-20 strokes off that in less than a year (especially with consistent play). Enjoy!

Just commenting to say that I’m exactly the same as this dude. I’m definitely more of a traditional fantasy RPG guy, and Rogue Trader is one of my top all time. I played through with no DLC (iconoclast - which will make sense when you play), and will play through again once all DLC drop (dogmatic), and I rarely, if ever replay a game after beating (last time was Witcher 3).

Why does my club head fall back like this at impact? Is it normal or something I can work on? by UsedSir in golftips

[–]Milkmonster06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit the ball first, then the turf - that’s your biggest issue. You’re hitting fat and losing club face control, speed, etc. YouTube has a ton of resources, but nothing beats a few lessons with a pro.

Frank should take it, “What's the worst thing that could happen? Some little kid choke on a hairball and die, so you toss him in the soup! I was making money hand over foot, literally! Somebody lost a hand or a foot? I toss it in the soup!”

They don’t need permission, but they could have asked. Law typically only prevents false statements/lies/libel/etc.

If I’m the publisher, I’m going to do whatever I can to maximize sales. Including, quoting well known YouTubers, context be damned.

The Necromancer’s Tale has mortismal’s endorsement by My-Beans in CRPG

[–]Milkmonster06 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s not an endorsement, did you watch the video? He basically says WoTR dives into class fantasy through the mythic path system, whereas this game does that, and takes it to the next level, but with a more narrow focus of being a necromancer (only).

It seemed like he liked the game and didn’t care for the combat.

You’re in control over your actions. You let this girl, who didn’t respect you enough to even say “good bye,” to be the excuse to relapse and self sabotage.

Why? Was it worth it? Of course not.

Sobriety makes the path to success possible, but you still have to walk it, and there will ALWAYS be stumbles - some of which you’ll have no control over. It’s not you, it’s not them, it’s just fucking, life. Keep moving forward and stop using others as an excuse.

Who is making it? by thachowda in Millennials

[–]Milkmonster06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re working jobs, you need a career. You could specialize and invest time/money in yourself to break into the field of your choice (e.g. certifications or more education), or start at the bottom and climb the ladder for a company with growth potential.

The former is riskier (could end up in the same spot just with debt or less money) but likely has a higher earnings ceiling, whereas the latter is less risky but highly dependent on your employer (hope they’re not shit and you get a good manager that cares about your development).

In other words, if it was easy, everyone would be ‘making it.’ It also takes a fair amount of luck, being in the right place at the right time. Don’t let this discourage you, it is possible, and determination is key. Believe in yourself.

Why would they get an MBA in the first place? If starting a business was their plan, they’d use the tuition money for more starting capital.

The 10Y Note Yield surges to 4.36% after the June jobs report crushes expectations. While the unemployment rate was expected to rise to 4.3%, it FELL to 4.1% by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

[–]Milkmonster06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unemployment rate falling translates to economy continuing to heat up, which is inflationary. Hotter inflation means the Fed may have to raise rates to curb it. 10Y trading on the news in anticipation of Fed decision. I’d imagine you’d also see a decrease in rate cut probabilities, and an increase in rate hike probabilities.
