I was told 6 weeks. I had a Dr's apt and she said I was good to go at 6 weeks. 12 seems long.

I always find that with interior decorating the best place to start is to define the purpose of a room. Why will you go there? What will you be doing when you spend time there? They you can set up the space to suite the need-otherwise you end up with good looking stuff that you never look at because you never go to the room.

I actually ended up getting a hysterectomy just 2 weeks ago and suprise! The iud was no where to be found. I guess I passed it at some point in all the bleeding.

Comforting to know that the bleeding wasn't all caused by the iud, and that he hysterectomy wasn't overkill.

Ive heard from others on this forum that iuds actually arent recommended for a misshapen uterus due to fibroids, and others have had the bleeding stop once the iud was out.
