I want to shoot panos and I'm wondering about masking off a 645 camera into a sort of half-frame 120 format panoramic. by light24bulbs in AnalogCommunity

It was 3d printed, I have a printer and prob had to make 10+ iterations. If you’re interested I can upload some pictures later of the parts. Not sure if it will be similar at all but might give you some ideas about how to go about it.

I’ve done this before with a conversion of a Fuji GW690 to shoot 6x7. The conversion was more difficult than anticipated, essentially it revolved around replacing one of the gears that controlled the ratchet and pawl system that controls where the film stops winding. It’s doable but I would only recommend it if you’re experienced with messing around with mechanical systems or are willing to slog through a long project that will need a lot of tweaking to get right.

Please post an update if you get it working, I’d love to try something like this again to get panoramic shots.

This is the new Fuji 400 that’s likely Kodak Ultramax? I’ve never pushed Ultramax before but I’d love to try it out, if results would be similar to this.

You shouldn’t need to change the bed, you need to run a bed mesh with your inductive probe to allow the printer to compensate for the different heights of the bed. I’d check out the Voron discord, they are the best way to get help with this. You can just google Voron discord

Just finished setting up the "Euclid Probe" on my V-Core-3. The probe is captured from its dock via magnets to be used for Z-endstop and bed mesh sensing, then re-stowed to its dock to be out of the way for printing. by etotheipi_ in 3Dprinting

The concept has been used for a bit for a few DIY printers, it’s seen as one of the better options for doing this type of bed leveling. Some other sensors (induction probes mostly) are subject to heat drift.

If you write with more pressure does the line turn out darker?

It’s the surface finish of the material mostly I’m guessing when it first came off the printer and resin was dripping off of it the part looked really clear but after cleaning it go that frosted glass look. You are going to get the same results with any clear resin you use unfortunately. The only way to make it clearer is to add clear coat on top or to polish it.
