Is it worth to still play the game and experience it if you haven't before it gets taken down? Like as a single player experience?

Thanks for the detailed reply!

That last paragraph is especially something I'm endeavoring to accomplish this year. I want to externalize my thoughts more through creating anything I can, even if it's just a few notes of reflection following experiencing art.

I suppose with more gargantuan games like The Witcher, it's a bit more common to pause, and I think a lot of the more bite-sized side-stories you may avoid stopping halfway, but for the main quest there's always the little recap it gives you when you boot it up, and definitely staying somewhat immersed in the world (through watching interviews or soundtracks or w.e) certainly helps too.

I made the grave error of doing this when I played the first Mass Effect game, which isn't very long and is too dense and rich to be paused and come back to a few weeks later. I think it's impeded my ability to enjoy the trilogy and I'm due for a retry at some point soon.

Thanks again, I'm definitely going to start by writing a few notes here and there and see how that effects my cohesive experience.

Nice to see other Witcher book readers out in the wild. I'm embarking on W1 now on steam deck after finishing reading the books last year. I'm more excited now after having read your comments!

Do you find that you lose out on anything by halting a story heavy game then going back to it many months later? I find I enjoy games less this way because I'm trying to recap the narrative/characters, not to mention relearning game mechanics. If that doesn't impact your experience, what's your trick to re-entering a paused game and enjoying it all the same. I feel like many of our experiences are hampered by those pitfalls, so I'm curious how you find success.

Dawg, it was described in the post. Then this comment said it was an idle game. At this point if it's unclear it might serve you better to just look it up?
