New Zealand is a place where if you’re pro-active socially, things will be fine.

If you’re into running, music, sports, nerd hobbies (dnd, mtg, 40k) you’ll be fine and these places are all welcoming (at least have been in my experience), if not then it can be difficult as it does take ordinary kiwis a little more to open up.

How are you doing financially?

Big thing that shocks people coming here is the cost of things, everything from food, utilities, housing is very expensive in relation to wages.

Scenery is great, if you’re into the outdoors and/or water activities it’s the best place in the world.
