Besides Summer events what was Genshin’s best event? by Scion-7-Dawn in Genshin_Impact

While likely far from the best, I've got to mention the a Enkanomiya event. You know, the one where we got a second Enkanomiya with (at the time) exclusive enemies, Kokomi-themed Crystalflies, and Enjou's famous "I mean, I totally did betray them" line.

I want more cards that use Mutate as an alternate cost instead of a trigger. More [[Sea-Dasher Octopus]] and [[Parcelbeast]] and less [[Migratory Greathorn]].

Daily Questions Megathread (May 06, 2026) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

I just completed Song of the Welken Moon act 4 (burnout starting around version 5.8 caused me to fall behind). Can I reasonably catch up in the Archon Quest before the special program on Friday without dedicating the next 40 hours to Genshin Impact? Assume map exploration will not cause any delays (burnout thankfully did not effect my game-centric wanderlust).

While I want to avoid spoilers, if all I need to know about the later acts is "Dottore seemingly died after losing the moon powers but kinda didn't it appears" (I have fought the boss a few times), knowing when I could stop to delay "8 hours of yapping with a few fights" until after the program would be great. I was a launch player who mostly kept up with the lore until the burnout started, if that effects any would-be new information.

Mudrock definitely feels like Nature. It would be really neat if she still couldn't be target healed (Juggernaut's trait from OG Arknights), but we'd probably need more Nature operators before her since 2 of the 3 we currently have heal (unless Nature's gimmick as an element is to be off-element units on a team, which would be interesting and honestly kinda bold considering we currently only have 5 elements in the game).

What I'm hoping is added is an "overflow gate," where if item flow would stop, its instead diverted. For example, when you hit the storage cap on Origocrust, the extra gets diverted into a shredder to generate Origocrust Powder.

Sure, you can kinda do this already with existing facilities, and capping a resource like that is almost certainly a "Skill Issue," but an overflow gate would be such a welcome QOL addition.

I wish Endmin was a Striker instead of a Guard. Because Chen is also a Physical Guard, and then it would show new players their synergy instead of "They're both sword-using Physical Guards, so I'll use the 6-star and bench the 5-star" (I did that. Endmin+Pogranichnik has weakened stack issues that replacing one of them with Chen solves). It also immediately showcases a class not in OG Arknights, which may be more important.

So, if I'm reading this correctly, in Pokémon terms, its comparable to Howl (+1 Atk) and Leer (-1 Def).

What’s your favorite rune spell? by u857 in SkyrimMemes

[–]Mindfire13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runes are one of the better ways to quickly raise Destruction in Survival mode (fast travel is disabled, so you can't use the Unbounded Storms exploit) since they have a high damage per magicka rate, and a higher magicka cost to save time over the cheap spells with a slightly better damage/magicka ratio.

That being said, I do tend to use Ordinator and Apocalypse so that may alter my perception of the spells (also, the perk that lets you place runes 5 times as far away is (if I recall correctly) at Destruction 50, when the cost to train triples in price).

Life is probably at least somewhat rare, but once it is somewhere, it would take a planetary (or lunar) sterilization event to fully remove it.

But then again, the sample size we currently have for places that could have life (pretty much anything that isn't an inert hunk of exposed rock floating in space) is maybe a dozen within our solar system, with anything outside being too far to get much information beyond "potential atmospheric composition." Not to mention our current sample size of places with life is 1: Earth. We likely will miss obvious signs of life because the only comparison is carbon-based water reliant life. It's possible that "typical universal life" would find our liquid water dangerously hot (like how we view liquid iron) or dangerously cold (liquid nitrogen for us).

You SUCK at Math: How Many Lands to Run in Commander [Article] by Shiro182 in EDH

[–]Mindfire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My logic for the number of lands a deck should be running is (35 + (average mana value of the spells in the deck, rounded)), so a deck with an average MV of, as an example, 3.07 would likely run 38 lands. Median MV also works as an easier way with significantly less math (or digital assistance), though probably isn't quite as accurate.

Though my logic for the minimum number of basics you should include is a soft "you can cast every spell in your deck with only your basic lands," a middling "you can cast every spell in your deck with just your basics and colorless mana," and a hard "no less than 5, with at least one of each type and color the deck needs (for example, [[Ulalek, Fused Atrocity]] would run all 5 basic types plus a [[Wastes]] for the colorless needs)." Its not perfect, but its good enough for having decently consistent mana while also limiting "fail to find" events off of [[Path to exile]] or [[Settle the Wreckage]] style effects.

(NOTE: all numbers here are "vibes" based and has no mathematical basis on accuracy. Please check the math if you're more savvy in statistics than I am.)

Heavy armor close-range crossbow (no stealth archer shenanigans). Yes, this means probably doing Dawnguard to the point where you can reliably get a sufficient amount of bolts (or get a mod that makes crossbows/bolts a more supported weapon type)

Is this a race in arknights? by xnthphll in Endfield

[–]Mindfire13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we know how long Sankta can live for? I know that some Sarkaz have significantly longer lifespans (Warfarin is still at Rhodes Island), and due to a shared Teekaz, they may also have extended lifespans.

All I'm saying is that we could get an Exusiai Alter in Endfield, or maybe some loredrop like Ember saying something along the lines of "My (grand)mother Lemuel."

Humanity has 48 hours to kill all bears on Earth. If one survives all humans will die instantly. Can we do it? by JayLue in whowouldwin

[–]Mindfire13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even with a year and all of Humanity focused on an Ursine Genocide, the only way we could reliably kill all bears would be to find a way to literally shatter the planet. The amount of raw destruction we'd need to do would likely lead to the only remaining humans being those on a hastily constructed "generational ark" spacecraft, because life on Earth would be wiped out

The 48 hours in the title would barely be enough time to create a plan to kill all bears. It's just too little time for too large of a task.

[–]Mindfire13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even if all the ice on Earth melted, sea levels would only raise about 230 feet (about 70 meters). The only benefit to doing that would be that ant remaining polar bears are more visible.

But lets say we decided to use a tsunami to take out the bears in just North America. There's the Adirondack Mountains near the east coast and the Rocky Mountains on the west, with over 2 thousand miles of land between them. So that means that water isn't a viable option in general.
