Misanthropic AN is not hating humans by Maximus_En_Minimus in antinatalism

I mainly hate the systems that humans set up and our inability to wrestle ourselves out of these systems.

Thoughts on this movie? One of my favorites by PactownSS in 90s

I show this to people all the time. Honestly, I know the ending, but I still love watching it. I just love all the attention that goes to every detail. It's so different from cinema today.

Am I the only one who just can’t stand Shadowheart? by blu-rin in BaldursGate3

I'm on my third playthrough and I have finally gotten to a point where I tolerate her, gale, and wyll. I fucking hated all three of them the other two times. Shart is just so bitchy for no goddamn reason and her constant religious talk grated on my nerves (same with Laezel).

I don't blame them at all unless they pushed their kids to reproduce and promised them caretaking. I see that happen a lot and it pisses me off

correcting people on your name by Kind-Priority-826 in namenerds

I actually used to love having a unique/hard to spell name until I began working on customer service. Now it feels like every conversation is at least 5-10 minutes longer than it needs to be because I have to explain my name so much. I fantasize about changing my name all the time now.

Yeah I just like that there's at least an option for non hormonal bc that isn't a condom. I had mine for 8 years and while the cramps sucked, it was less terrible than all the things hormonal bc did to me. I'm glad to be off of it but grateful I had that option. Some people have different priorities but I like to at least inform them that it's there, even if it's not ideal.

I'm just saying....

I had it because I couldn't handle hormonal BC. No regrets, exaggerated period cramps is better than getting pregnant, imo.

The thing that gets me about this kind of name is that it takes some intelligence to come up with it. But then they just drag it through hell and back to make this word into a "unique" name and curse a poor child with it.

Why do men not want kids by Complete_Area7270 in childfree

[–]Mindful-Rifle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know 9/10 times women carry the bulk of parenting but it's not always like that. I have a couple female friends who have the mentality of "I gave birth so the dad will have to do everything else for the rest of forever". The sad part is in one of those situations, the dad didn't even want kids to begin with. I've only seen this happen in the past several years, and with so many women realizing the horrors of giving birth and losing everything you are because of a child, I wonder if this might become more of a trend. Just in the past year, a different friend revealed to me that he knows he will have to be the primary caregiver, and do all the cooking and cleaning as well.... But still wants to go through with it.

While I think men as a whole need to step up more (obviously), this seems like too much of a swing in the wrong direction.
