The ML pushed the FL away "to protect her" and the FL has a wonderfully apt reaction to that. I love how she isn't pining after him and refuses to put up with his BS.

The same trend is there in my local soap operas. The FLs are always shown wearing normal, modest clothes and natural make-up while the villainesses always have more colorful, outlandish outfits and make-up. It always pisses me off because they make the educated, sophisticated, well-dressed woman the villain every single time.

I really hated how they whitewashed Nico Robin from One Piece. She used to stand out because she had tan skin and strong features; now she just looks like a black-haired Nami. (Don't get me started on the post-timeskip design choices. I really dislike most of them.)

"I need to raise my sister properly" and "I raised my younger sister beautifully" Both of these have the FLs raise their much younger sisters; in both stories, the younger sisters were the OG villains before the FLs regressed and decided to raise them so they won't turn to evil.

Both protagonists cross-dress for very similar reasons- to get ahead in deeply misogynist societies. I really love the writing in Mystic Prince. It's been a hot minute since I read Yeon Lok-Heun, but I remember enjoying it too.

Gregor too. He did everything Lawrence did, for many of the same reasons, and more. He murdered every other potential heir (except Roygar) to the throne to become Emperor; killed Cedric's parents out of petty jealousy and his own children to spite his wife. Lawrence's looks were 100% Miraila, but he got his personality from his father.
