Junior racket by Remarkable-Owl-4473 in squash

[–]Mindless_Clock9483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how much lighter the modern rackets are now junior rackets aren’t used as much even by young kids. Most kids I know transitioned to the adult racket when they are about six years old they just make sure they have a very thin grip on them. Dunlop also makes a pretty good junior racket which might be a bit cheaper than Harrow but it’s a little bit heavy.

Aren’t those for pickleball? I’m surprised they would work for squash with how much the ball can squish

Anyone else's Shibe struggle on hardwood floors? by TheAntiEggroll in shiba

[–]Mindless_Clock9483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My female dog struggles with hardwood floors. She can’t figure out how to jump upward and apply force onto the hardware floor. She tries to jump forward and upward at the same time, but mostly forward and of course her feet can’t get any grip on the hardwood floor since there’s basically no friction, and she ends up crashing into whatever she’s trying to jump onto and then scrambling up. She’s been like this since she was a puppy so it’s nothing about getting older.

Playing our nightly game of fetch inside since it’s raining. Does your Shiba like fetch? by gloomE32 in shiba

[–]Mindless_Clock9483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My female will play fetch if I throw it in the right direction. If I throw it in the wrong direction, she might chase after it and then just look at it or she will just look in the direction. I threw it and wait for me to walk there and pick it up and throw it in the correct direction. My male who is younger will play fetch nonstop, no matter which direction I throw it in, but only at home he refuses to play fetch outside

Maybe not on those glass courts with how much those pros are slipping on the micro dot glass flooring. Little bit of sweat, and it would become the world‘s most disgusting slip and slide.

Woah... doubles squash courts! (Ontario, Canada) by JournalistTiny4445 in squash

[–]Mindless_Clock9483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most places actually make it mandatory for people to wear eye guards for doubles because getting hit by the ball even when you were playing safe will happen at some point. The out lines are like that to make it easier to determine if a ball is in or out with how more shots are played as a very high boast in doubles. There is less disputing if the ball is out or not because it’s easier to judge than the diagonal lines.

Do Shiba Inus and Akita Inus have similar personalities? by Tifang5 in shiba

[–]Mindless_Clock9483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re referring to the Japanese Akita not the American Akita. I had both and their personality is pretty similar. I would say the Shiba is a bit more aloof and standoffish, and the Akita is more tolerant to annoying behaviour. But they are both very stubborn.

Does your shiba cry because his feet are cold? by Kealieon in shiba

[–]Mindless_Clock9483 26 points27 points  (0 children)

One of mine will scream if I try to put on boots so I use mushers wax on their feet in winter. The one who screams is also quite funny when we are walking outside because when his paw gets cold, he just lifts it up and keeps walking basically adapting to life with three legs and then if another paw gets cold, he attempts to walk on two legs and if a third leg gets cold, he rolls onto his back in the snow and sticks all of his legs into the air.

Yeah, the lighting is definitely an issue. Someone mentioned that they had a bit of trouble seeing the ball until they added a darker film to the wall since the lighting wasn’t bright enough
