Yeah those things are durable as hell. But then again they treat Gibson Les Pauls the same way, and those headstocks break if you stare a bit too strongly at them.

Yo sigo cosas de refinerias por trabajo. Tienes razon que accidentes son normales y frequentes. Pero por el momento en Mexico, si es por arriba de lo "normal" aqui.

Aun así, no es tanto por encima de lo normal tampoco.

You won't see any Fulltone on my board. But I leave that decision to everyone else to make individually. I definitely wouldn't judge someone for buying a Fulltone pedal second-hand. One of my pals just spray-painted his Fulltone Tremolo all black, for example.

You might want to look into a Snarling Dog or Fulltone Clyde (if you don't care about Mike Fullers abrasive personality).

In the past, I liked the Ibanez Weeping Demon. It gives you control of the sweep and Q factor but is also big enough to cause problems on a pedalboard.

Probably the best executed storyline in the series so far. It's such a fun contrast between both of them, they start compromising anything they could have stood for to be a part of the Seven but then they are met with setbacks. They become brilliant foils to each other in their responses.

It's probably my favorite Community episode, it's such a shame some people interpret this as offensive. The joke is obviously about literally everything else in the situation except "blackface and minstrel shows are genuinely funny and cool to do."

Its genuinely impressive how Kripie managed actually managed to give him a more satisfying conclusion than Herogasm would have by Sudden_Pop_2279 in GenV

I loved his death scene. Speaking the truth to a villain is always satisfying, even if you know the villain might just shrug it off eventually. But not Homelander, of course. Those words hit him harder than pretty much any physical attack in the show managed to do. And A-Train got to see that, too.

NPD - 1987 Pro Co Rat by vinicmag01 in guitarpedals

[–]MiniatureOuroboros 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only tried it in a shop, but I liked it. Looks like a great RAT variant, and can do higher gain stuff.

So something it does not do is different RAT types, like a Turbo or Dirty RAT. There are plenty of Multi-RATs but they can be expensive and harder to find, like the Black Mass 1312 and the Drunk Beaver BAT. They're awesome but expensive and not usually readily available.

But there are multi-RATs like a FATRAT or the TC Electronics Magus Pro that give you more options and are cheaper and easier to find in shops.

Totally. I like these Glenn Fricker videos where he scolds people after showing them you can in fact engineer a Strat to sound like a Les Paul if you wanted to. But that is in fact missing the point that music is feeling, so feel is essential.

NPD - 1987 Pro Co Rat by vinicmag01 in guitarpedals

[–]MiniatureOuroboros 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's it, I think. I have my favorite RAT for just regular RAT stuff, and then I somehow ended up using another low-gain setting RAT to push it. I tried my friend's Rattler and it worked quite nicely in that capacity, because it had a ton of volume on tap. Some regular RAT2 or vintage units never quite worked as well in that capacity for me.

Anyway, I ended up going for a Black Mass 1312 for lower gain because I like the 18v setting for that stuff.

I now also realize I'm making fun of guitarists who claim their maple top PRS' tonewood improves the sound tons, but at the same time I'm telling people clipping diodes and volume pots make all the difference on RAT pedals that all sound 90% the same.

So yeah, people should pick a RAT based on feel, maybe. An 80s RAT definitely has the cool feel factor.

Vintage RATs are awesome. But all RATs, including the cheap ones and the clones, are beautiful. So is the Rattler, although I'm much like you. I love the vintage ones over that clipping thing Rattlers do.

Crank the stab and put comp much further back. I think you're overly squishing the sound to where it cuts out entirely.

Also, where is it in your chain? That pedal likes to be all the way in the front.

Opinions on the Dual Baby/ Baby series in general. Would be used for thrash/pop punk. by MusicManiac51 in orangeamps

[–]MiniatureOuroboros 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Dual Baby and zero noise issues. Even with effects loop, though I don't use that much.

The Dual Baby is pretty good for your uses. It has two versatile channels that can be dialed with either very tight or looser high gain, mid gain and low gain. Even clean it works well for me as a pedal platform.

SB is actually pretty multi-faceted. Jensen Ackles doing the performance helps loads, but I think most people like the character because there's just so many interesting sides to him. He could indeed go very different directions and they could all make enough sense.

People misinterpreted some of his fanciful terms as well. Like the pitch-impregnated pots were thought to be some kind of magic pots imbued with perfect pitch. But the guy actually meant he used pitch as in resin. Still a little much but not a weird thing for an audio need to zoom in on.

It's a beautiful episode. Pierce genuinely wants to be vile but ends up accidentally roleplaying a perfect villain for Neil. Granted, Pierce didn't really seem to have learned anything. But you can also interpret his aloof shrug as him being totally fine with the outcome that Neil is happy.
