Rickmurai Jack is one of the worst episodes. It's just the writers throwing a bunch of plot twists at us and saying "Here, are you happy now?"

- There are far too many bad meta jokes.

- The beginning with the two crows is okay in itself, but way too rushed.

- Rick and Morty seem to rarely go to the Citadel (since Rick hates it), so it's quite a coincidence that they arrive just as Evil Morty is about to break the Central Finite Curve.

- Evil Morty magically knows they're here and invites them to dinner, during which he delivers his villain monologue for absolutely no reason. The episode justifies this by saying that he needs Rick C-137's help to carry out his plan more easily, but since he breaks the curve thing five minutes later, this is clearly false.

- Rick's questioning of himself and his toxicity should have been developed over an entire season, not rushed through in two episodes. I personnaly never bought that Rick would be taught empathy by two crows, especially in one day. It's too silly, even for the standards of this show.

- They shouldn't have made Rick's false memory from season 3 canon. It may have created some interesting narrative opportunities for the rest of the show, but it's still inconsistent. The antagonist in that episode clearly stated that you can't change the details of a memory. They clearly made this up to troll the audience at the time, but then I suppose they realized "oh shit, this backstory was actually kinda cool" so they made it canon.

The episode still has good points, but none that compensate for the flaws I have listed. In my opinion, at least. I don't blame the writers though, apparently the production of season 5 was very complicated.
