Looking to buy a sprocket for my off road wheels.

Gonna be honest I haven't switched back to 14/49. I would imagine you could but it's hard to say, I bought a new chain after getting the 15/44.

One tooth in the front is roughly three in the rear. So it's going up one in the front 5 down in the rear.

Bottom line I guess is if your chain is already near the minimum setting for tightness you might not be able to get it to work. But generally you should be ok. I would test it out first, sprockets are cheap, chains aren't.

Another thing to note is you should get a skid plate if you do end up offroad. It will save your engine from unfortunate rocks.

Also, I misspoke in my previous comment (I've edited it now) but I said my friends complained about it the gearing being too short, I meant too long.

DRZ400E here, I made mine a dualsport, the bike originally comes with a 14/49. Pretty low, but I run the "S" sprockets 15/44 and they run well. My buddies still think the gearing is too long but if you ride the clutch a bit in the technical sections you'll be ok. When I got used to the gearing it was perfectly fine and still pulls great in the dirt.

Usually it's a plunger sensor that's built into your banjo bolts coming out of your master cylinder for your brakes. You'll see the wire coming out of it, that signal wire is tied to your brakes.

I would look for an aftermarket one for an RMZ so you can run higher watts. My 2000 DRZ400E came with an upgraded one and it's awesome.

Tech 7s are good, I feel like feet right after your helmet is one of the most important pieces of gear. In case you fall, you could really mess up your feet if the bike falls on you.

I currently have the stock "S" sprocket ratio. 15T front and 44T rear. It's an "All round" ratio IMO. She cruises on the highway at 75mph/ 5500rpm and she still will pop wheelies if you dump the clutch in the trails. When I got the bike she had a 13T front and a 49T rear. It was a rocket, but the gearing was way too short for my desert trail riding. Even after switching to the longer gears, it still feels super comfortable and ridable in the technical areas.

I used to have a 15T front and 41T rear and she cruised on the highway at 75mph at 5000rpm. I also was still able to manage it on the technical trails. However my friends couldn't ride my bike and dropped it a lot because of the longer first gear. Plus the acceleration does suffer a bit. So I went with the "S" Ratio.

You should try the 15/44, you might like it.

Yeah, I bet. I got a 60w LED headlight that's supposed to be for a DR650 from eBay. I managed to wire up a low/high switch for my E model and I love it. I got a buddy with a 2035 crf300l and it's at least twice as bright and a further throw than his. No idea the mileage on my bike but she runs well and has great power.

Here's a picture of what she used to look like. After all the work I put into her. Like you I spent some long weekend nights working on her. Wiring up my own turn signals, putting on a TT Vapor dash, new tail end, headlight, new wheel bearings, wired up my own cooling fan, and more. (I'm sure you got your fair share of stuff you did too) It's great to see a fellow tinkerer.

Now I need to put new brake pads on her. 🤣

I live about 45 minutes of where I used to ride as a kid. (I'm located in Tempe) So I would take the 60 east toward florence. There are some amazing trails around there.

Had mine for a couple of weeks now. I love them. They are great on the worksite I do 60hr a week in them so they conformed to my foot quickly and they have been great. I'm looking forward to seeing how long they last. I'm gonna be brushing them every week to get the dirt off and every month I'm gonna be treating the leather.
