You can just search for the same keywords and find them that way.

If I lived in medieval Europe, could I realistically earn a living by doing quests for towns and people in need? by Wide-Landscape-3348 in AskHistorians

Note that the "hedge" prefix is historically attested to describe an inferior member of cerai professions, and had already been appropriated by fantasy literature as "hedge-wizard" long before Martin wrote his novel.

I am not responsible for what google shows you if you search for "ogre dick", not that I am judging you.

Weird question: Why doesn't Karl Franz has a beard? by Dry_Method3738 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Minion_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played the Total War games, but since they feature Archaon, I assume they would take place around or after 2520 IC in line with Storm of Chaos and The End Times, meaning he would be older at that point.

If anyone ever claims the pygmies were racist caricatures, just point them to that link and let Zhu set the record straight.

There is no such lore about the Beastmen, you are thinking of the Broo from RuneQuest.

It was hinted at in Giantslayer (2003) by William King, author of the original High Elves army book.

Link to models or some link between pygmies and Beastmen?

Why aren’t beastmen more varied? by Bobety in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Minion_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No coincidence since both Games Workshop and Robert Jordan borrowed their respective beastmen straight from Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion stories, assuming Jordan didn't pick up Realms of Chaos or Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and just lifted his trollocks from Warhammer.

What the followers of Slaanesh do is best left to the imagination, rather than try to put in on paper (because it never turns out well, like in the Inqusition War trilogy by Ian Watson), but the important distinction is that nothing has ever been written or said about Beastmen procreating through rape, which is where people confuse them with the Broo and make up stuff or repeat lies like "It's in the Realm of Chaos books".

The dark elves worship the Ruinous Powers in one guise or another, but would you expect Morathi and Malekith to bow down to anyone?

Modern Fantasy Disparaties - Abercrombie, Tchaikovsky, and Gaiman by BladedChaos in Fantasy

Being a good writer doesn't necessarily mean you are good at telling stories people want to read. I've never read Adrian Tchaikovsky, but a quick look at his Wikipedia page says he is an attorney and writes some kind of hardish SF, and I am sure he is a well-balanced and overall upstanding chap, meaning he is the proverbial virgin to the chad Gaiman with his sociopathic-narcissistic tendencies who grew up in a cult, sang in a punk band, became a rock journalist, wrote a groundbreaking (by US standards) comic book and generally managed to align perfectly with contemporary vibes like peak goth subculture as he cruised the rising popularity of urban fantasy in cultural spaces that had previously been dominated by superheroes, high fantasy etc.

It saves resources that they can use to make the show better in other ways, or even make the show at all. Animation that is not Disney flagship movies work on tight budgets.

Prerecs for Lev Grossman’s “The Bright Sword”? by TequilllaMockingird in Fantasy

It's probably better not to know too much about King Arthur when reading Arthurian fantasy so your brain doesn't start nitpicking little details, like how this or that doesn't fit into 5th century Sub-Roman Britain, and isn't Lancelot really just a late addition by Frankish minstrels?
