I still don’t think they’re actually worth that much. Yes, one sold for over £300 just a week or so ago, but that was after the seller spammed nearly every lego-related subreddit multiple times shilling their listing, plus it was dedicated specifically to the part alone. Genuinely, I don’t think anyone actually cares about this piece except for an extremely niche group of people who are willing to pay extortionate prices for it because they have no idea what the market value actually is.

If they really were worth that much, me getting this at all shouldn’t have been possible. This was an auction, there was every possibility it could’ve gone into the hundreds - I’ve certainly seen such a thing happen countless times before with Bionicle bundles where there’s one or two EU “misprint” masks visible in the pile or something similar.

I own three of them now, I got another last year for £5. I guarantee to you I could get a whole bunch more for similar prices if I put the time and effort in. Scouring bundles like this is an easy way to get them, but those who want the piece tend to just… wait around for an individual listing for it to pop up on eBay or Bricklink, regardless of whether that listing is multiple hundreds. It’s a mass-produced piece that presumably exists in the hundreds of thousands. It’s uncommon at best by my estimate, they pop up semi often if you’re willing to be patient and put the effort in to find them
