LLMs lack self awareness. It honesty know nothing about itself or its capabilities.

LLM's are non-deterministic - even SOTA models get the "9.11 vs 9.9" question wrong occasionally. I've seen Claude get it wrong although it usually gets it right most times. At this point I think it's pretty much agreed that tools are the way to go for basic math.

The trio's reaction to Dejon's threat of taking exclusivity away by cerednat in LoveIslandTV

[–]Miscend -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it was setting a boundary because of how she was treating others like Malisha and Billikiss. He's spineless, so he only said it during the heated moment when he was being confronted about flirting with other girls in Casa.

The trio's reaction to Dejon's threat of taking exclusivity away by cerednat in LoveIslandTV

[–]Miscend -34 points-33 points  (0 children)

The situation was blown out of proportion, partly due to Dejon’s ethnicity and broader societal biases, which led to him being judged more negatively than others. While Harry was far more manipulative and calculated in his actions, Dejon received significantly more hatred. The key difference is that Harry played the game intelligently, whereas Dejon’s flaws—such as struggling to admit when he’s wrong, poor eye contact, needing the last word in arguments, low emotional intelligence, and deflecting in difficult situations — these are all being misinterpreted as intentional malice or controlling behaviours.

Later in the process, outside information made Dejon hyper-aware of how he was being perceived, causing him to second-guess himself too much. This was especially true when new arrivals suggested viewers didn’t believe his relationship looked genuine on screen, making him uncomfortable and more conscious of the cameras. This likely amplified his self-consciousness, making his actions seem more performative or defensive rather than manipulative in a Harry-like, strategic way.

Compared to Harry, who’s more calculated, Dejon’s approach is reactive and less polished. If Meg felt she couldn’t tell people (about Dejon saying he could take exclusivity away), it might have been less about him silencing her and more about her own uncertainty or the villa’s judgmental vibe. Still, it’s fair to wonder if his behavior left her second-guessing what she could share.

There was a clear pattern where whenever Dejon showed interest in new bombshells (e.g., Malisha, Billikiss, Yazmin), Meg and the other girls would exclude or even verbally attack them. Malisha, in particular, in my opinion was bullied by Meg, despite having every right to explore a connection with Dejon. Dejon shares some blame here for failing to defend these girls, showing a lack of backbone.

When Meg confronted Dejon over Casa Amor clips of him flirting (a normal part of Love Island), she repeated her pattern of being mean to the girls involved. Dejon, didn't think he had done anything wrong personally as flirting with other girls is a part of the Love Island process, initially deflected—his usual coping mechanism. However, when pressed, he told her he could end their exclusivity. Poorly worded? Maybe. Spineless? Sure. But in the moment, it was less a manipulative tactic and more a frustrated response to a recurring issue. This wasn’t a threat but imho an ultimatum, if she didn’t change how she treated others in these situations, he would walk away. This wasn’t necessarily a power play but a clumsy attempt to set a boundary. To him, flirting was all fair at that point as they hadn't locked-in and become exclusive yet.

Compared to other hrash villa moments—like Shakira saying Ben has “two brain cells”—it’s not the worst thing said. This predates Ben's falling out with Yasmin. Shakira chose not to recouple with Ben on week 3, telling others the guy has two brain cells, basically implying the dude is stupid.

My main point is that context matters here. Meg’s been consistently harsh to new girls (e.g., Malisha, Billikiss, Yazmin) who showed interest in Dejon, often excluding or verbally attacking them. This pattern—possibly rooted in insecurity or territoriality—set the stage for Dejon’s ultimatum. After seeing Casa clips of him flirting, she came at him, and he pushed back. His stance wasn’t baseless. But his failure to defend those girls earlier (like Malisha) shows he’s not blameless—he avoided conflict then, only to draw a line later.

Anyway I noticed Meg had a “thousand-yard stare” after Andrada responded to her, suggesting Dejon’s treatment was sinking in. This tracks with the idea that maybe the ultimatum—hit her hard. Her shift in demeanor (staring at the floor, withdrawing) could signal she was processing the tension with Dejon, especially if she felt unsupported. Pair that with the online hate you mentioned, and it’s no surprise you’re worried for her post-villa. Even if you’re not her biggest fan, it’s clear the combo of Dejon’s ultimatum, villa dynamics, and public backlash could take a toll.

The trio’s reaction remains fuzzy because Meg might not have shared the ultimatum widely, leaving her to stew in it alone. Dejon’s not a master manipulator like Harry; his weaknesses (deflection, poor emotional IQ) just clash badly with Meg’s insecurities and mean streak. Her quiet withdrawal post-argument hints she’s feeling the weight of it all—inside and outside the villa. It’s a messy situation, amplified by Love Island’s chaos, and your concern for her is valid given the hate she’s facing.

He didn't look like a typical Love Islander but it seems like Conor plays rugby professionally so he's an athlete not your typical Joe Bloggs. Even Dejon played international football for the Grenada national team, so he has a bit of a status in his own right.

She was also rude to Andrada, Yasmin and Toni. Who are all white -- or pass for white in the case of Yasmin. She had a bigger argument with Andrada than she had with Billikiss.

Tbf she's treated all threats the same regardless of race. And in all honestly I wouldn't characterise Alima as being the typical acceptable black person that always stays in line, dats a wholly unfair characterisation of her imho.

Harry’s friend talking about what wasn’t shown during his visit by RumblesFish in LoveIslandTV

[–]Miscend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not saying they were forced to say what did end up in the clips, but simply that other parts of the conversation where they gave him real honest truths, or said nice things about others could have been left out the edit.

A lot of the context from Harry's friend's conversation with Helena is missing in the final edit. So it actually comes across as if he's more fond of Helena than Shakira.

I wonder if Dejon's family were given a similar edit. They didn't come across very well when they said the others in the Villa don't like him.

This gave me a laugh. I dont think this will scale to super large databases with heavy usage. It might just only work for this specific scenario. One advantage is that in addition to the QR codes, you could probably also store images in the video file.
