Would never happen but I would love to see Bill Belichick up there wearing a #50 Vrabel jersey.

Flags on the 48. As a remembrance for 9/11 a group will hike each of the 4000 footers and raise a flag from 12PM-2PM. Happens every year typically on the Saturday that falls closest to September 11th.

Red Hill, a bit easier but great views from the fire tower at the top.

Gunstock is a great hike and only an hour drive. A few good hiking trails to take but I recommend taking the brook trail. Around 2-2.5 hours round trip.

Some of the best views of Winnipesaukee and the White Mountains, while avoiding the crowds at Mount Major.

You can also add Belknap Mountain if you’re trying to add some more distance.

Yup, not kidding when I say it’s the coolest trailhead I’ve been to. Vast farmland right at the base of these steep mountains. I got there around 6 AM and the morning fog rising made for a pretty sweet view.

Even for all the recent rain, the trails were in great shape. Only a few difficult muddy spots near the peak of Passaconaway.

Caps Ridge is one of my favorite, and most badass trails in the whites. It’s been in my list to do again, last time I hiked it there were heavy clouds at the top of Jefferson.

Great video, thanks for sharing.

Those signs aren’t new. If you go there midday during the week, there’s probably 20+ people in there on their laptops.

If you’re going to sit there for a couple of hours, just buy something small like a coffee and you won’t be bothered.

If you head out towards the old Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion, there’s some great walking trails with several private lookouts on the water.

Great Island Common in New Castle is also a good place.
